End Of Year Thoughts!

I can't believe it's the end of the year already! Where did the time go? It seemed to fly right by and we as a family, packed so much goodness into this year that I have a million things to be thankful for!
First and the most wonderful is that Barry has passed 5 years of being Cancer free! I am so blessed and thankful for that. We celebrated our 42nd anniversary and with all the ups and downs of our lives, we are still together!
I am so thankful for having warm and loving sons! No mother could ask for better ones then I am blessed with. They have chosen well in their own life partners and we are very happy with this! I have the most beautiful grandchildren in the world---I think! Madelyn will be 10 on her next birthday and is the light of her Grandpa's eyes! Justin is well and working hard and I must say, growning up! My little bundle of fur Coco still gives me so much love and has wormed a special place in my heart!
We had a great, wonderful, special week of Evan's wedding! We had lots of family and our special friends come and help celebrate with us. I'd say we were truly blessed to share it with the one's we love! It was hard to be without those we lost that day because my Mom and Barry's parents were a big part of Evan's world for so long and they would have been so joyful to see their "little Evan"get married!
Our son Larry has a great new job where he is always on the go, but loves it! They will be going on the Disney cruise next month to celebrate their 13th anniversary!
I am still working at Market Street and enjoy it! Some days are better then others, but working at 63 and standing on your feet is never easy at any age! I just keep my eye on the goal. Paycheck in the bank very week! Barry is only working one part time job and enjoying it.
And the best new thing this year has been to say that we are going to be grandparents again! We'll be having a new Bloomer around July 4! Evan and Mandy wasted no time in starting a new family of Blooms and we are very happy about that!
Leave a note and all of us know the a little something special that happened in your world this year!
Thank you all for checking me out and sometimes leaving a little love!
Happy New Year!
Hugs,
P

Post Christmas

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas this and Santa was very good to you! If not, there is always the after Christmas sales to be good to yourself! I'd love to get out there, but there is ice on the street and I don't drive in that stuff!
We had a great Christmas. Evan and Mandy came over and we had their Thanksgiving dinner that they missed when they came from their honeymoon. My girl Coco came for dinner too, and had her fill of turkey!
We had a wonderful present from the children. We will be grandparents again July 4! Isn't that the best gift ever? I'd love a nice little boy and that's what they would like too, but we'll be happy to spoil another girl! They haven't told anyone besides her family and us, so remember to keep it under your hat!
I'm off to do something in my craft room. I've been trying to clean up a little, but it was so little that Barry didn't even notice!
Have a blessed day!

Down, But Not Out!

Who knows how, but I hurt my back last week, and it's kept me down a bit this week! I pinched a nerve but the doctor gave me some good med's and I'm not in as much pain as I was! I did manage to make a few cards this weekend and this is one. I love using bingo cards and have a huge amount of digi ones in my stash. I used a nice new set of digi papers from my favorite seller on etsy and a cupcake image I found on pinterest. I love how the card turned out!
Barry got  his Hanukkah present last week too. He finally got a brand new car! We have truly come a long way back from a year or so ago! It's a very pretty Buick. We leased it so the payments would be low, and it's for 39 months, so it gives us a nice new car for a long time. After that we'll see what happens. His car was 10 years old and have over 140,000 miles! He takes good car of his cars!
I really want to thank everyone one of my friends who reads my blog and has given my strength in the past to move forward. Blessing for this holiday season!

Happy Monday!

As far as Monday's go, this one is good--so far! I'm off work and that's always a good thing! I have nothing on the list of "to do's" that really needs to get done, and Barry is also off work!
This is a set of cards I made for a friend who asked for 12. but will be happy to get a gift of 4! She is the wife of a friend of Barry's and can be a pain at times, but I know she means well, so I thought I'd surprise her with this set when we have our Lions Club holiday party on Thursday. I used some new digi papers and an a wonderful image, along with a HA stamp. I love how they were so simple but look so nice!
We had our dinner with the kids on Saturday night and I must say it was wonderful! Only problem we had was the gift cards for the kids didn't make it in time, but we gave them IOU letters, and I couldn't get them to go home! By the time 9:30 came around, all I wanted to do was go and get into bed, but the gang was having a ball all together! Talk about the things that make a Mom happy, that was one of them! I got wonderful gifts for Hanukkah this year. Larry and family gave me a gift card for the nail place. Evan gave me a wonderful package of goodies from Bah and Beauty Works. Madelyn gave me a new necklace that is a Star of David! See how blessed I was! Barry lots of gift cards and a game from Madelyn.
Well, I'm off to go and do something! Take care and have a wonderful day!

Happy Holiday!

With this crazy time of year, please take a moment and thank the Lord for our blessing! Some years they are more, and some years they are less, but as long as we are breathing, we are blessed!
Tonight we light the first candle with our sons, their wives, and our grandchild Madelyn, and I will count them all as my very own blessing.
Happy Hanukkah to all my family!

Happy Monday!

It's 80 in Dallas today and it hardly seems like the holiday weather, but for Texas, it can be! We're enjoying a warmer day or two right now, but in Texas, we have a saying. "Wait a minute or two, and the weather will change"! Tomorrow, it's changing again! It was beautiful over the weekend and we enjoyed the tree lighting at one of the local parks with all my children. It was so nice to spend time with them and just have fun! After the tree was lite, they had a wonderful fireworks show. Madelyn enjoyed spending time with her Uncle Evan and I think he enjoyed it as much!
Yesterday I got to spend some time in my office playing with paper! It's something I love about Sundays. Barry works, and I get the whole day to myself! This sweet card was one of many I created. It's a digi image, but I've had the little verse stamp for years. Barry is in the Lion's Club, so my house has many lions in it! I also made a set of Christmas cards for Madelyn's silent auction at her PTA due next week. I think they should get a pretty penny for the school!
I'm off today and tomorrow, but I'm picking Madelyn up after school the next few days. It will be nice to spend a little extra time with her. She has dance on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, but at least Grandma can enjoy her some!
I got a new printer on Saturday. I was printing along just fine on Friday while Barry was at work, but then it died! Like DEAD! We went to Best Buy and Barry hooked up on and I'm so happy with the new wireless one!
Well, I guess that's it for now. Have a wonderful week!

Long Weekend!

It's the end of that very long weekend I had today! It was nice to be off 2 days in a row, but being sick didn't help much! It's a darn cold in the chest thing again and as always, I lost most of my voice! My kids never mind that, but it does help to have one at work! OH well, such is life!
I finally got some new cards made today and got them uploaded to my store. They are so stickin' cute! A must have for anyone needing cards. Priced just right and ready to go!
Have a great week!

Monday, Again!

It's funny how Monday comes even if we're not ready! Oh how I wish I could skip most of them, but I guess I have to go with the flow! Today Barry and I are just being lazy. I can home yesterday and made a bunch of cards for my store. I added a few more today and now have a nice round amount in the store! I could keep creating everyday, but I have to work the next two days and then it's Thanksgiving. The kids will be home from their honeymoon on Thursday evening. I'll miss my Coco girl, but then I get to see her at least once a week for a nice long walk at the park. She does love her duck park!
Have a wonderful day!

One Week Ago!

It seems like it's been longer then a week since we celebrated the marriage of our son but that's all it is! This sweet, sweet picture is of our 2 legged Granddaughter Madelyn, and our 4 legged one Coco! Don't I have the pretties family you've seen!
Barry and I have been staying down at Evan and Mandy's house this week to babysit the furry children and the fish and finally today I'm able to get home and make some time for myself in my studio! I've gotten 6 cards done and in between took the dog home! Barry is working today so I took her to the dog park, Pets Smart, and the drive-in. Then it was home to work, but she had other idea's. She wanted to take a walk outside and after the third on, I took her for a ride in the car back to her home! I'm sure she's napping on the sofa right now!
I tell you, the week of the wedding and everything we did that week was perfect! All the family made it in. The hotel was great. The food we ordered at my store was perfect, and eating out lots of night worked out perfect as well! The only bad thing that happened was they didn't have towels in the pool area on Saturday night and we had to ask! A very small thing indeed!
More about the wedding with some other pictures later this week! Thank you all for love and support!

Last Day To Create

These are just a few of the cards I made this weekend! It's my last chance to get into the craft room and create until after the wedding, so if you want anything special, and are in the mood to purchase, please let me know! I love going through my many digital images and papers to find the perfect thing. Barry says that I spend more on ink then I make selling and "maybe" that's true, but having so many great things right at home when I want to create at 10 in the evening is the perfect answer for me. If you haven't gotten around to digital yet, give it a try! You'll love it!
Well in one week I'll be getting ready for the wedding. Maybe not this early. I may still be eating breakfast with my family at the hotel, but next Sunday is finally the day! All the planning and worrying will be done. Just gather up the gang and enjoy the day!
My sister Clare in New York still doesn't have power! I spoke with her last night and they don't expect it until next weekend! I told her to come to Texas early. Evan and Larry both have space for them until Thursday with Mandy's family arrives from Houston. Please keep them in your prayers that they stay safe and sound until they arrive in Texas. I'm so glad that some of the stores are open and that their cell phones work!
I guess I'm off to see what I can get done today in card making. My creation station is calling me now. One more cup of coffee and I'll be good to go!
Have a blessed day!

P

Just Another Week!

It's hard to believe it's coming down to the last week before the wedding! A year in the planning and it's finally here! The family starts to arrive at 9 AM Thursday and then the party begins! I got my nails done this week and pray they hold. All the food has been ordered and now it's time to start thinking about what to pack to take to the hotel with us! I'm trying to find time to create some holiday cards before I put the paper away for a week. I feel empty when I don't create at least once a week. This sweet little guy is new and newly added to the store. I put a few in today and will add more tomorrow.
Have a wonderful day!

It's Been A While!

Time is rushing by right now and it seems like I'm either working on cards, working at Market Street, or getting ready for the wedding! It doesn't leave much time to be lazy! So today I'm off work and just woke up! 9:45 was a real treat for me! Barry is working all day, so I do need to get my act together and do something, but I think I'm in need of another cup of coffee!
Today's card was made using last years Riley image. You gotta love Riley in anything he does! This card was sold right away, so yesterday I made a similar one that will go in the store later today.
This week just flew by. I celebrated my 30th anniversary of my 33rd birthday! What a fun time! I got new make-up and shoes from Barry, a new Redskins blanket from Larry and family, and then Friday night Evan and Mandy took us out to dinner and I got a gift card for IHOP! I think that was a pretty wonderful birthday! After dinner we went and got $300 worth of wine for the wedding! I can't wait until we can close the check book on the wedding things! Our family will start arriving in a week and a half! I just can't wait to see the gang! We have fun things planned for everyone. No trip to Dallas would be complete without a stop in old Ft Worth and a stop at Sam Moons. Who can ever have enough junk jewelry and imported purses!
Well, have a fun day and stay safe if you're in the path of the storm!
Hugs,
P

WOW! What a Busy Week!

I can't believe it's Friday already and I still have so much to do! I was off from Tuesday until today and still didn't get everything done on my list! To tell you the truth, my list just kept getting longer each day! I did get the major things done and for that I'm so happy! New shoes for the Friday night dinner, new make-up so I look pretty, and I even got the wash done! No new cards made, but hopefully on Sunday I can work on that!
Barry is working today and I have until 1 before I have to go in, so now I'm going to try and get that shower I've been trying to get for days now! I have all this make up on from yesterday's session, so now it's time to wash it off and put my go to work face on! That means nothing on the face!
Have a good evening and enjoy the fun Thanksgiving card!

P

Another Week Closer!

Can you believe it's only 4 more weeks to the wedding? Where has the year gone? And I still have so much on my "to do" list to get done! Oh well, I'm sure what gets done, will get done! I haven't worked on cards all week. Instead I picked up extra hours at work this week so my paycheck would be so much nicer, but I still felt bad about not creating, so today I got down to work and made 7 new cards that I added to my store! This darling one is made using another colored image from Dreamie Dolls. I love her stuff! I had this one big green wooden button in my stash and it matched the green paper perfectly! Check out the other new one's if you get a chance.
This week is going to be a bit easier I think. Barry and I are both working on Monday, but then have several days off to get things done. Now to make a list!
Take care and thanks for checking in on me!
Hugs,
P

Sunday, October 7, 2012

WOW! I can't believe a whole week has gone bye and I haven't posted! I've been that busy with work and checking things off the "to do" list for the wedding! I only had last Sunday and this Thursday off work and I tried to cram all I could in on those days! My paycheck next week will be a thing of beauty with all the hours I put in, but I'm beat! Barry left for work at 8 this morning, and I turned over and went back to sleep for another few hours! My eyes still don't want to work right, but I've got things to do and need to get a move on! My card today was made using a stamp from the 1.50 bin, you know, the ones that used to be $1! I like the way the card turned out and since the SU happy harvest was still not back in it's box, it was a perfect finish!
The wedding plans are just moving along great. It's 5 weeks from today and my list is still long, but getting better. This afternoon I'll take the ribbon for the cake over and drop it off at Evan's house. One more thing done. Instead of a book to sign at the rehearsal dinner, we bought a wedding plate at Michael's for the people to sign. It then gets baked and then they have it forever!
Well folks, take care and have a wonderful day!

It's Sort Of Fall!

It's a bit cooler today and the it's raining outside, so it does feel like Fall is on it's way. Now we live in Texas, and it could change any minute, but at least for today, Fall is in! I have friends coming at 10 to eat brunch and play in creation station. I'm so excited! It's been so long since I created in my home with friends. I have bagels and cream cheese, Swiss cheese, juice and lots of other goodies to snack on. Can't wait!
Yesterday was Evan and Mandy's last shower before the wedding. It was nice, but small. I wonder if the rain kept some of the people from coming. Oh well, their loss. The kids got some lovely gifts and gift cards from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Larry and Tina gave them some goodies from their honeymoon list in Paris. I was warned by Evan not to bring a gift. We have done enough already he said. That was sweet since we're given him money for the dinner after the wedding!
Well, I gotta run and finish setting up for Gloria and Kim.
Happy Day!

Happy Yom Kippur

I know, it's a new shoe. What can I say! Last night started our holiday of Yom Kippur. It's the most holy of holidays for Jews. We fast, we pray, we pray alot more. It's the time we ask G-d to write in the book of life all good things for the coming year. It's the time we ask for forgiveness for all our sins and pray for good things for our family and friends. We wear soft shoes to Temple to pray. And then in my home as was in my mother's and Barry's, we break fast with diary. I really don't know why, but it's just our thing! When the children where home, I'm sure we had meat and soup, but not today.
So back to the shoe! Barry took me to Nordstrom's yesterday to get shoes for the wedding. I could become a shoe whore again so easily. I fell in love with dozens of pairs of shoes and only came away with 2 pairs. These are so soft and fit like a glove. The other pair is silver Tom's to wear after the ceremony. Now to get the dress hemmed.
Well, have a blessed day.

I'm Ready!

OK, so I'm just getting ready, but I'm on my way to the holiday season now! After a very slow start yesterday, I finally managed to get 8 cards done. If only I hadn't played all morning on the computer and doing everything but creating, I'm sure I could have done more, but believe me, I'll take the amount I did! Isn't this the cutest snowman ever? Well, I think he's pretty darn cute. Another fun image from Dearie Dolls. Another fun reason for digi paper, you don't run out, unless you run out of ink! All the papers used for this card, and most everything else I create is digital. I buy card stock and that's about it. Oh and maybe ribbon, buttons, and such!
It's a work day for me today. Barry is off and I'm sure catching up on sleep. Tomorrow I'm off and plan to shop for shoes for the wedding so I can have my dress hemmed.
Have a wonderful day!

It's Friday!

I was a very busy girl yesterday! I did sleep a little later. It was my anniversary, so it was OK, but I got alot done in my studio. I even got the wash washed! This sweet Hanukkah girl was made using another Dearie Doll digital image. I love her work. I've never seen images that fit me so well. All the little girls that I long to use! This card was just one of three Hanukkah cards I got done. I made 3 Christmas ones as well. All are loaded in the store and ready to be mailed out!
Since it was my anniversary yesterday, I wasn't going to cook, but I was too lazy to get dressed up to go somewhere special for dinner, so we went to Denny's instead. It was still nice that I didn't have to clean up after we ate, and after all, that's the best part of not cooking!
I'm off to work this afternoon and still have many things to get done before I go, including at least several more cups of coffee, so off I go. Have a wonderful day!

Who Are Those Children Getting Married!

42 years ago and in a far off world, I think that's Barry and his child bride getting married! Boy has that picture aged! I don't know where the years have gone, but Happy Anniversary honey! Check out those dresses! Since my picture seems to be fading, the dresses where olive green on top and hot pink with flowers on the bottom! My wedding was an "in" happening in 1970!
I'm off today and Barry is working. That is a wonderful day to me these days! My cards have been selling again, and now I need a day to do nothing but play in the studio and create. What to make, that's the question! Fall, Christmas, Hanukkah, or just fun cards? Some of all of them.
Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Girl

Isn't she fun! I love all of the creations that are from Dearie Dolls digital images! So much fun! This card was made using a little of this and a little of that.
My car is in the shop today. It had a bad shake in the front left and so who knows how much I'll have to spend to get that fixed, but to say the least, I won't be giving up work anytime soon!
I have to run now. It's always time to work. Have a fun day!

Happy Rosh Hashnah

Rosh Hashanah
Tonight at sundown, Jews around the world will celebrate the start of the New Year. It's wonderful to go and hear the Shofer blown at Temple. I loved it as a child and still do today. We read the Torah and say prayers to have a good next year. We pray that the sins of last year are forgiven and that we do good deeds to others in the next year! In our home we have lots of family and lots of food to start the New Year. This year I cooked but Larry and Tina will be having the dinner at their home. Larry and Evan "talked" and they thought it would be better at his home because my apartment is rather small! We are 10 strong this year. My brisket is done and ready to be sliced. My liver is chopped and taste so good. Barry and I had some last night for dinner. the chicken noodle soup is to die for, and the only thing left cooking is the meatball. I know, not very traditional, but the gang likes them and since we have always called them Nanny's meatballs, it's OK!
Love to all!

Friday, Friday, Friday!

Man has it been a long week! I am so glad it's the last week day this today. I don't think I could put my feet to the petal one more day at work! We've been super busy and my mind is even tired!
Tomorrow I'll be up bright and early to start my cooking for the Jewish New Year. My house will smell so wonderful and by cooking the day before, Barry and I get to eat all the goodies ourselves! Chicken soup, chopped liver, brisket, and meatballs! All the yummies! We have 10 coming for dinner on Sunday. It's warms my heart to see so much family around one (maybe two) tables to celebrate another New Year. We always start each new year with high hopes of good things. Having Evan's wedding is just the start of a blessed year I know! Also next week, September 20, is my anniversary. Barry and I will be celebrating 42 years together! Amazing how time has passed, but that story is for another day!
Have a great weekend! Fell free to leave a little love!

Dream A Little Dream With Me!

I am so ready to see that very lovely Pink hotel in Hawaii right now that I would do most anything to get there! It's even prettier in person then it is in the picture. We had dinner there one night years ago and I'm ready to go again! I know I have loads to do before the wedding, and the children will be coming over for the New Year Sunday night, but I'd rather have my wish come true!
Tell me what your fondest wishes are today!

Monday, September 10, 2012

Picture this times 3! That how many I made yesterday and added to my store! I shocked myself with 3 cards alike made at the same time! Aren't they cute? What a lovely family photo!
I worked a nice long day today and you won't believe how busy we were. Usually on a Monday its kind of slow, but not today and we were short handed! I finally left at 3:15 and get home to find that Barry had gone shopping and bought almost everything on my list of foods! He's finally becoming the house-husband I always wanted! He doesn't work until Friday so he's been looking for things to do. I hope he finds some cleaning tomorrow!
Sorry it's a short note tonight. I'm ready for bed! Love you all!

What A Buy!

I just all these fun little packages of cards to my shop for a song and a dance, well almost! YOu can't bet the price of 5.00 for each set! I am so full of cards in my storage box, it's time to clean out for fall and winter! They will go quickly, so hurry on over and check them out!
I am so thankful to be off today and that Barry is working this afternoon. I'm still in my jammies and have no wish to change that anytime soon! I had a card to make for a friend at work that I finished and now I'm out of glue and pop dots. The two most important things to my creations! Break time!
So did you watch the DNC this week? I was glued to the TV all 3 nights and enjoyed seeing all the speeches. I think if you have a doubt where each party stands that after watching the last 2 weeks, you should have a pretty good idea! For me, it's a clear choice. I have always been a dyed in the wool Liberal. Pretty proud of that fact. I grew that way and have always believed its a good thing. We are the party that stands for the rights of all. I know I feel so much better knowing these people are my side!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Another Day!

I made it! I made it over hump day and now I'm on the downhill side of the week! YEA! for me! After being off for 3 whole days, it was really hard to go back to work yesterday for a long day, but I made it! Today I work 6 hours and then I'm off tomorrow. I am so looking forward to that!
How do you like the card? She's another fun image from Dearie Dolls Digial Images. She has the best work and the biggest heart! I used up some of the scraps on my desk and put this sweet card together. My shop is in VC mode today. I gave a whole package of cards to a buddy at work to look at and she keep them overnight. Since I don't know what she wants to buy, I figured it was best to take a day off the selling front!
Well, wish us luck today. Barry is doing the wash! I know, I'm really worried too. It's not something he ever does by himself, but since he wants to do it, I'm letting him!
Hugs,

Can't Wait!

My own sisters will be coming to visit soon! I can't wait to see my whole family, but my life will be complete with Debbie and Clare there!
Barry and I went to the Dr's this morning for his blood work before his check up. We had to be in Denton (1/2 hr away) by 8 so we left at 7:15 with rush hour and all. It was a good thing we did! Afterwards breakfast and then home. Barry has gone off to bring a friend of ours home from the hospital and be back by 6 to take Larry and Madelyn to dinner. Busy day off! It's Larry's 41st birthday and his wife is out of town on business. He's feeling sorry for himself and to top it off, the nice lazy dinner we were going to have, has to wait! Mad has PTA! So it's a quick dinner somewhere and then off they run. We'll make up later on.
So that's my day. I have created a card already and I will be posting it in the store soon. If you'd like to buy anything in the store, please feel free! Don't let me hold you back! I'd like to make a few extra dollars to feed my habit a little!

The Labor's Of Our Love

It's Labor Day in the US today and a day to celebrate we are a nation of workers! That we value every one's worth, and every one's right to work. The problem arises when management doesn't value "us" as much as they value the $. My hope this holiday is that we all seek our own value in life no matter what it is or how we've gotten there!
Do you like my sweet golf card? I just love how it turned out! It's hard to tell, but the white dots in the green paper are gold balls! I know I have some brads that would be perfect, but I have no idea where they are, so I used my tried and true button!
Last night we had a nice quick dinner with Mandy and Evan at Cidi's Deli. Barry had his usual Lox and Eggs. We were going to see them tonight, but things worked out that we got together yesterday instead. They approved my dress choice for the wedding and we talked more about wedding plans. Coco was so happy to see her Grandpa. For once, I was not the most important person we wanted! Barry gave her lots of love!
It's a work day for Barry. 9-5:30, so I have the day to myself. I should be cleaning, but creation station is so much more fun!
Happy Labor Day everyone!~

The End Of Summer!

Can it really be the end of the Summer already? It's going to be 100 in Dallas today, so no, Summer is not ready to end here, but I am so ready to move on to Fall and today's card made just to make me feel a little better with the heat! I finally found the Snow friends digi paper that I had lost in my files, and added a nice digi image along with a Whimsie Doodles saying and now I'm in the mood for holiday cards! What do you think?
It's so nice not to wake up to the sound of the radio going off so loud so that we'll hear it! I don't work again until Wednesday and Barry has today off---all day! That's something he doesn't do very often. Have a Sunday off completely! I've invited Larry and family over for a swim this afternoon, so I'm hopping to have just a very nice easy day. Maybe a little craft time this morning.
Not much else new in the Bloom world, but please drive safe and have a wonderful holiday!

It's Friday!

Big Yea for Friday! Another day of creating and even posting on my blog! I have set some kind of record this week---posting several days! I just love how this card turned out. So cute and so very true!
I work tomorrow for 4 hours and then I'm off until Wednesday. Barry is off tomorrow and Sunday and then he works on Monday. For the month of September he was given 80 hours of work! Double what he thought he would get, so we won't miss the extra for the other part time job, at least for the coming month!
It was a costly night yesterday. Our son Evan's AC went out and we gave him the money for that! In addition to that we added more so he'd have the extra for his wedding fund. I love being about to help out from some of the money we received from my FIL's estate. Life can be good at times!
I better get my body going in the direction of the kitchen to start dinner. Don't know what it's going to be, but let's just say I sent about 100 at the store today, so there better be something good!

Wasting The Day Away!

Today is my day off and so far I have NOthing to show except the crumbs in my bed from my mid-morning snack! I have been very lazy! At least my body has. My mind has been very busy thinking about some new cards to create. It's just when I see the cards still in my Etsy store, I wonder why should I make something else new that will sit and look pretty right back at me! Crazy, I know!
Barry is working the rest of the week, and I have off tomorrow. I may and see my baby Coco and talk to her. She gives all the love any Grandma could want. All I have to do is take her to the drive-thru at M's, see the ducks at the park, and give her a treat when we get home! She's easy to make happy!
It's been awhile since I've felt a little down, but the last few days I've noticed I've turned inward some, and I really have to work on that before I fall over the cliff again. I have one more day of work this week. It's Saturday and only for 4 hours, then I'm off til Wednesday, so maybe I can get the rest my body and mind seem to need right now and then be my usual self!
Have a wonderful day!

Smile, It's Only Tuesday!

I know, it's not the end of the week yet, but it should be! Yesterday was going to be a really nice short day of work, and it ended up a long busy one instead! Someone was begging for more hours and I was happy to give some away for yesterday, but then she called about 11 yesterday to say she had a "backache" and could work! Needless to say, I had to finish up my long shift! So that was the lemons, but the lemonaid was that I had my yearly review, and I got a nice raise! So there, to the boo Gods that were laughing at me yesterday! I can't believe at the end of this week I'll have worked at my job a year! Where has the time gone!
Is there a sweet card or what? ONly answer if you think it is! Please feel free to leave a comment or something---I'm beginning to think I'm not loved anymore!
Well now I have to run and get ready for another funfilled day of work at Market Street, and then home to make dinner!

OMG, It's Monday Again!

How does it happen every week? It seems just when I start enjoying my Sunday off, Monday comes along and I have to go back to work! Not fair, and just when my creating MOJO seems to have returned! I love how it card turned out! A fun new verse and a nice new digi! YOu got to love how it all came together!
It seems all my side of the family is now coming in the Thursday before the wedding. Deb from FL, her son and DIL from MA, Clare and her gang from NY, and my brother and his boys from MD! I just love it when a plan comes together!
Well, I'm off to work. Barry is working all week at the now only place he'll be working. It's a nice change to have some time to myself before to create and then I'm only working a short day. YEA for me!
Have a wonderful day!

I Love Halloween!

I know, it's not even September yet, but I'm in Fall Mode! I'm happy to be in any creative mode these days! I've had a "power outage" this summer, but now I'm getting back in the swing! This charmer was in my Etsy store, but it's now gone too, along with several other Halloween cards. Not to worry, more on the way!
I've had another busy week with work and watching Madelyn. Today was our last day to enjoy her company this week. I go back to work tomorrow and Grandpa is working his last weekend at his 1st part time joy! He gave notice an on the first it will be his last day. He's going to make his "back-up" part time job his first starting next week. I know it's going to work out for the best from him.
We haven't done too much in the way of getting things done for the wedding yet. I still have time, and I'm sure I'll still be saying that next month too!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Start Thinking Fall!

Yes, it's time to start planning for the Fall season! I love everything Halloween so this was an easy fix for a hot day in Dallas! Digi papers, Paper Schooes, Paper Trey. All goodness used! I added several new cards to the store today, so hop over and take a look!
Another week to work some long hours is ahead for me. Monday I work 7, then Thursday and Saturday, another long day! The good thing is that I'm off the other days this week. I'll need it to recover my feet and back!
Madelyn is coming over several days to visit this week also. On Tuesday she'll have to go to the hair lady with me. I'm getting color and cut. I'm going to be looking so sexy---no laughing in the peanut gallery! We have no other plans this week, just chillin'!
Have a wonderful week!

Yea! It's Finally Friday!

It's been a long week! Madelyn has been at our house most of the week, bright and early! And Grandma is tired! I've been working as well, so Grandpa has had to share in the joy of a 9 year! A friend of her brother is babysitting this afternoon when I go off to work, so that will end my time for this week. She'll be back again on my days off next week!
I heard from my brother this week that he is coming to the wedding. Yesterday it was just him and his two younger sons. Then at 8 this morning he called to let me know that his older son and family will be joining us! They have the sweetest little baby girl and his first grand baby, so I'm thrilled they all will be attending! I don't know how is going to handle knowing some of the people he invited are really coming! I think he was hoping some wouldn't show---silly boy!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Just Another Fun DAy!

Good morning Saturday! What a week! I worked all week and then one my day off, yesterday, we spent the whole day at the car dealership! We took our car in this week to have some work done. It was leaking water somewhere, and when they thought they had it fixed, they blew the engine up instead! Now nobody wants to say that it was their fault! It never had a "knocking" problem until they had the car, but we had to decide if we were going to buy a new car or put a new engine in the old one yesterday! The price of a newer used car was just too much to pay! The payments would be greater then I wanted to pay, and for 6 years no less! I could never stop working at that rate! We finally went to dinner at 9 and made the choice to just fix the old car! Yes, we'd still have a car with lots of miles on it, but since Barry baby's the car anyway, it seems to be a better choice for us right now.
So that's how my weekend off started! I'm off until Monday and I plan to do nothing else that makes me feel bad! I want to play in my creation station, swim in the pool and just be lazy!
The car I'm showing today is made using lots of scraps from other cards, but I love how it turned out. It flew out of the store, thanks to my must loyal of friends, who had to add it to her collection! Thank you Pat, as always! I love how customers become friends! It's the best thing going!
On another note, my family is making their plans to come to Texas! They are going to start arriving the Wednesday night before the wedding. My most loved cousin in coming in to spend a whole day with me by herself, then on Thursday night my sister and all her gang are coming in as well! My two best niece's are coming on Friday and my BIL too! It's all starting to come together and I'm over the top with joy about that!
Well, I'm off to drink another cup of coffee and enjoy the day! Thanks for coming around to check on me.
Hugs,

Remember Me?

I didn't want anyone to think I was lost forever on the computer, but instead I've just been taking a much needed break from the craft world! When our computer went down and we had to buy a new one, it took it as a sign that I needed a that break too. I've been really slow at creating this summer and I have to admit I really didn't miss it, but now it's going to be time to get back on the horse and do something! As always, it's the something that I wonder about!
Yesterday Tina, Cassie, and I went to Mandy's shower. Cassie is my Grandson Justin's girlfriend. She's a lovely young woman, and I was so glad to finally meet her. Mandy's shower was held at a long time friend of hers. As you can see, we played games! I am not a big game player, or even a small game player, but I was a good sport and went along with it! The girls were having a pool party about the shower and since I had worked all morning, I was so happy that my son Larry and Madelyn came to pick me up! Tina stayed and I think I got the better deal! The kids came to our place and we went swimming for a while and then meet Barry for dinner! What a wonderful ending to the day!
Today I'm going to meet the ladies to look again for a dress for the wedding. Mandy's mom along with a friend of the family, Kaye, that I really like, will be joining us! Lunch is on them too!
Well, I think I really need a shower and another cup of coffee before I start my day. Thank you for coming back another time or two!
Hugs,
P

Happy Sunday to everyone! I'm going to rant a little, so if you'd like to come back another day, feel free to leave right now!
I'm sick and tired of the right wing thinking they can save us and take America back! Back from right? That's what I always ask myself when I hear the stuff! Back to when men and women weren't equal? Back to when workers didn't get paid a minimum wage? We've come a long way baby, as the song goes, and I for one, don't ever intend to stop fighting to go forward!
Stay away from my government programs, like Social Security and Medicare. Stay away from Barry's health care---VA! Go back in your own life machine and leave us to grow!
Everyone should be allowed to live with and marry who they want! It's ok to say who can and can't have guns, but rights---that must be a whole other story!
Please take a minute or two out of your Sunday and think about the future. Do you want your children to grow into a whole that doesn't treat everyone the same?
Hugs,
P

So Cute!

Hello Saturday! It's a hot one in Dallas, and it's going to be a long one at work in the Bloom House! I work at a very nice upscale grocery store called Market Street. It's lovely and today is one of the best of the year. We have Texas Expo this weekend! We have samples, samples, and more samples all over the store! I'm going to be a demo from 10:30 to 5, and that means a lot of standing! If you're in the neighborhood, check us out! Barry is working both his part time jobs today. One from 9-3 and the next from 4-8! The boy is going to sleep well tonight!
You can see I've added some more card sales to my Etsy store. I'm so excited to be almost out of cards to sell. Ok maybe not out, but getting closer! The pink check card with the turtle has been textured. It's hard to see in the picture, but I used my bug to make the backround pop right up IRL! I can't wait to start on Christmas cards in another week or two!
Well I gotta run and get something to eat and another cup of coffee!

So Much To Sell!

All my pretties, priced to sell! I really think I need to clean out a bit and save up some money for the wedding. After all, I have big plans for that weekend and they don't come for free! You can't beat the deals I've added to my store, so check them out if you want some almost free cards!
Barry has been working this week and it will nice to have a little extra in the pay since my summer hours have been a bit short. They have so many folks working this summer that we all have had less hours. I'm trying to focus on enjoying the time off rather then the money missed! It's working!
Tomorrow we are both off and plan a nice lazy day of swimming at the pool, and just playing the day away!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
P
