BETTER LATE THEN NEVER NEVER!

Yes, I know, the day is almost over, but I look at it this way, I don't have to post tomorrow since it's half way there! Barry is at a meeting tonight, so I finally had some time to myself to play and this is what my play time made! The card is made using a new set of digis from Deedee's Digis called Handmade With Love, and I love how it turned out! I paper pieced the top and bottom of the jar and added a tiny little tag with a saying that comes with the set. The papers all came from scarps on my desk. It's good to save all those little pieces. You never know when they will come in handy! Check out the site and see what other goodies are just waiting to come home to you!
Have a great day!

THE BIG BOO!

Oh my goodness, Halloween cards can be so fun to make and even better to receive! I guess you could say I've done both with these cards! I received the images from my stampin buddy Cora. She is the bestest of the best--a true friend, whom I hope knows just how special she is to me and mine! She sent me these darling Bugaboo images this week. They are part of their September club buy. There are 10 in the group. I've got another 4 colored and ready to make into cards later on today, after Barry goes to work. And now you know about the receiving part, the making part was just as fun! I pulled out all the scraps of paper on my desk along with lots of fun embellies I have laying around and out popped these cards! Most of the papers are from Hobby Lobby. Cheap and easy to find. I have these in my Etsy shop in case you think you'd like to take a closer look at each card!
Have a great day!

SATURDAY MORNING SLEELPY!

How come everything seems right with the world early on Saturday mornings? I wonder if it's because when I was a kid, Saturday mornings were so special. You know, you got to sleep a little later and then hurry up and run to turn those cartoons on first thing. Sometimes my parents were still sleeping and it was just the kids up. I still like the quite that the mornings bring. Before any of the hustle of the real world comes busting into your day.
Today's card was made using another one of those fun freebie digis that I've been collecting. I love the face on her. There seems to be something going on behind her smile. She's got mischief in her soul!
We're waiting today for the cooler weather to get to Dallas. It's suppose to be in the fifty's tomorrow morning! Fall is finally coming to TX! Last night I told Barry I was so happy that on Monday morning I can finally wear a sweatshirt. We have to be out early. He has some tests at the VA at 9! He did point out that I wear sweatshirts all the time, so what would be different! He was just being his nice self, I'm sure!
Thank you all for adding your fun comments yesterday. It was so nice to have people stay a while and leave them. The hop was great and I hope everyone was able to get the free image at the end of the hop.
Have a fun weekend and hurry back.
Hugs,
P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TURKEY TIME?

Today our dear design team sister Darsie Bruno is celebrating her GOLDEN birthday -- that's right -- the big 5-0! Such a momentous occasion calls for a party, don't you think? So the Deedee's Digis design team is throwing her one -- a Golden Birthday Blog Hop -- and we invite you to be part of the fun!!! My card is not extacting a Happy Birthday card, but we can celebrate Mr Tom Turkey's Birthday instead! I Here's how you can join the party:
Visit each of our participating designers' blogs to see what special birthday creation they have made. You'll want to visit them in the order listed here, because...
In addition to sharing some creative fun, each designer will also have a letter (of the alphabet) to share with you. If you put all the letters together, it will spell out the special code with which to claim your party favor! Email me the code to Deedee at amiste@sonic.net and she'll send you the new "Happy Birthday to Ewe" digi:
Once you've collected your party favor, please stop by the birthday girl's blog and leave her some love. On Monday Darsie will choose one random winner from among her well-wishers who will receive a GOLDEN grand prize -- a $50 credit to spend at our store!

Alright people, let's get to partying! Here are the blogs to visit today:

BITS OF SCRAP

I'm sure you all know how much I enjoy using this wrinkled ribbon that I've bought at Prairie Bird Boutique. So much so that I save all the little bits and pieces that I cut off after I make a bow. Well with this card I was able to use some of those pieces. YEA! The stamp is from MFT, another Pure Innocence girl. The pumpkins are from an SU set of stamps. The paper is from a fall DCWV pack.
We had a nice anniversary. We took Larry to lunch and had pizza for dinner. Just a nice quite day. Much less fuss then 40 years ago! Thanks for all the good wishes I received from my friends and family on facebook.
That's it for me. Enjoy the card and hurry back!

40 YEARS, WHERE DID THEY GO?????

Today is our 40th anniversary! Oh where, oh where have the years gone! We were so young and thought the world was made just for us! Barry was in the Army and I worked for the Ag Dept. We were going to do big things in this world! The world is still spinning and we're still doing things, only in a much smaller way these days. So Happy Day sweet husband of mine! Tonight we're planning a nice pizza from Little Caesar and a glass of wine. We do know how to live it up!
The first card I'm sharing today is made using a nice new freebie from Bugaboo. She has fun images and they are so easy to color up. I really like the way this card turned out. The second card was made using another freebie digital image that I got a few weeks ago. Everyone loves a cute little boy and his buddy! I've added it and lots of it's brother's and sister's to my Etsy store---check them all out!
Have a great day and hurry back!

HURRY, HURRY, GET A SNEAK PEEK!

That's right, you can be one of the first to take a look at this new digi that will be released in the $ digis tomorrow over at Deedee's Digis! It's so fun to have new Fall images, even if it still feels like summer in many parts of the country---Dallas included! This cute little image comes complete with the Hay pumpkin. Print, color, mount and ready to send! I don't know about you, but I know I save all size and matter of scraps all over my desk. Today I found 3 different colors of card stock and used those to add a "wing" to the card. And to top all that off, I didn't have the right color light orange button, so I colored it with my Copic markers. I'm so proud of myself. I can hardly stand it!
I hope all my Jewish friends had a great New Year and fasted. I used to, but it seems like it's harder and harder to do it these days. I just hope the New Year will bring some peace to my world. A job for Barry, new tires, and something good. He really needs those new tires and we need so many basic things. We're both still job interviewing, but nothing has come of any of it. My son Larry is still out of work as well. It's a tough world out there and people who say stupid things like we're all lazy and want unemployment are just plain nuts! I do wonder what planet these people live on! We're not trash, we're not lazy, we just need a chance! Take that stupid Tea Party Wing nuts!

I'M NOT GONE, JUST BUSY

I didn't want anyone to think I had left for parts unknown, I've just been busy with life! Today I'm going to the Assisted Living Home to do a show. I say "show", but what it really is, is just a time out for the people who live there. I don't sell much, that's for sure, but whatever can bring a bit of joy to them and maybe a few extra $$'s to me, works! Barry did sell a few cards this weekend. Some of those fun google eyed Halloween cards. I've made some more and if they don't sell, they'll be in my Etsy store later today along with lots of new cards! Stay turned! Today I wanted to show off 2 of the cards I made to take. They are both made using Deedee's Digis. You know having digital images is like having a whole store right at your fingertips! Deedee has priced them right and all you have to do is make them the perfect size for what you have in mind for your project, and then print them out! The Let It Snow snowman is perfect for this project. The verse is in the perfect spot and all I did was print it out. I printed out 4 on one page and went to work coloring with copic makers. The paper for the snowman card came from a DCWV pack. I was blessed to get lots of it from my "stamping" sister Jeanine! In a HUGE box of goodies, there was a HUGE amount of wonderful holiday papers. I am in heaven with all that! The ribbon is from Praine Bird Boutique. The owner Patsy is supper wonderful. Check out her Etsy store.
That's about it for today. I need to finish off some project and get a move on life.

STILL HERE

I just wanted to let you know we're still hanging in and we'll know some more on the house on Friday. Please keep saying a prayer for us. I'm not sure they're working, but I don't want to find out. Thank you one and all!

IN CASE YOU'RE STILL WONDERING...

We are still around. I know I've been off the Internet most of the time in the past week. It's been a hellish time for us. We're still trying to hang on to the house, but we have to come up with more money. I really don't know if that's possible. I've tried everything. Barry has taken on more hours (thank goodness) this past week. One of the ladies was very sick and he was able to have some of her time. I've tried to sell things and even that leaves us short, but we are still trying. I think the only Faith I have left is in how strong I really am. I even surprise myself that I haven't lost it all by now. I just spoke with another lady about the house and she told me to be strong! That's what I thought I had been in the last several years. I don't know how to be much stronger then I've been. At 60 I'm no stranger to bad things and bad times, but there has to come a point in your life that something, anything, good has to happen. I keep holding out the hope that will be. I don't want to be tested anymore. I just want to live my life in peace. I don't know why this seems never to be for me, but tomorrow I'll keep trying again. For now, I'm going to go and create. It seems it's about the only thing I do these days that turns out half way OK.
So if you have a few friends that are very rich and would like to invest in a broken down person, give them my number!

P

GO REDSKINS---BEAT DALLAS!

My sweet little cheerleader is all dressed up in the Burgundy and gold for this weeks match-up! I guess you have to be from either Washington or Dallas to understand this rilery. It goes back a long way and true, Dallas wins more games then Washington, but most 'skin's fans would rather have a losing season as long as they beat Dallas! My sweet girl is from My Favorite Things.
Have a great day!

MY BOY STUDLEY!

Maybe he's not now, but he used to be. He's still one good lookin' guy! He was all dressed up yesterday for the interview so I snapped a few pictures to send to his Dad.
Happy New Year to my friends! Enjoy the day!

THE REAPER COMES HOME

You won't want to meet this guy at your door would you? Well I won't either, but I know he's hanging around just waiting to meet you and grab your candy! Another sticker from M's and some fun paper from Hobby Lobby. The Happy stamps is from M's $ stamps from another year. It's fun to dig out those stamps we have in our collections and use them.
Barry had his interview today. We'll see. That's about all you can say about them. They want more info that he has to email and then it's a wait-wait game.
We've had a lot of rain in Dallas. Last night and today. Our backyard looks like a pool, only muddy! Hopefully the rain has ended for now and we'll have some cooler weather.
Take care, hurry back. Check out the game at the top right on the blog. It's free and fun to play. You just answer questions and make a few cents. There is a drawing every day for $50 so at least you have a chance at that. You won't get rich, but it's fun anyway. Go and try it out!

GOOGLE EYED FAIRY PRINCESS

I've never been much of a sticker person, but lately I've found some really fun one's to turn into one-of-a-kind handmade cards! I've added 4 different cards using great stickers to my Etsy store creations this morning! I got these at M's yesterday using my 50% off coupon. I couldn't resist. They called me and I listened! The paper is from Hobby Lobby and the ribbon is from the never ending pile of ribbon I have growing under my desk!
Barry is off to work today at the Assisted Living place. It's raining here. We're suppose to enjoy a few days of rain from the storm that came on land during the night down in South Texas. We'll take all the rain we can get. Last night we had dinner at Larry's. It was his birthday dinner, just a few days late. Evan bought the entertainment. Ms Coco Channel Bloom came. If anyone doesn't know, she's Evan's 9 month old English Bulldog. She's is so big and so sweet. She's really starting to listen to Evan and behave herself, but she's still a puppy at heart and loves to play. She found a dropped green bean under the table and had a ball eating it. Speaking of balls, she tried to eat one of those too! Madelyn gave her a ball way too big for her to get in her mouth, but she played anyway. Coco had the best time barking at the 3 cats the kids have as well.
Today we're suppose to find out more about the house. I'm very scared of what's going to happen. I don't want to be out on the street. I don't want to be a homeless person. It's just got to work out for us. I pray and pray, but it sometimes doesn't seem as if their heard. I hope this time they are.
Hugs,
P

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Fall always reminds me of those wonderful times when we lived up North and were able to get fresh fall apples. When the children were little we used to drive up to the mountains on the weekend and get a bushel of apples. The basket never made it home "full"! I still love Granny Smith's apples. The things we remember!
Barry is working today. He was called yesterday to say he'd be filling in on Monday and Tuesday from 8 -4! Yea for Barry! He needs the work and I need the time alone to get some work done! I have several projects that need to get worked on and several orders to fill. I should be starting, but here I sit. Oh well, I guess I better get going and do something, anything! Please take a minute or two to read the article about Labor Day. Just click on the link below--please!

Is It Christmas Already?

I first want to say how lucky I am to have at least 120 friends! I know I didn't think I did yesterday, but the more I thought about it, the more I know I am a lucky person. NO, I didn't get $10 from everyone I know, and it was just a silly idea that I dreamed up in the middle of the night, but I do know that I had at least 120 or more friends saying a prayer for me and that was the best gift of all! We are still working on saving the house, and we are now one step closer. I'll keep you posted! Thank you for caring about us!
Nothing sweeter then a nice big Gingerbread boy for the holidays! Today's was made using an digital image from Deedee's Digis! Now that the summer is almost over it's time to start working on those holiday cards. Printing out the digital images to what ever size you want is the perfect answer! This set comes with the little boy, a sweet charming little gingerbread girl, of course the house made of candy, and a few perfect verses! This card was made using some DCWV papers and lots of buttons and bows!
Have a sweet day!

IF I HAD ONLY 120 OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS...

Loan me $10 each, I could make a payment on my house to try and save it! Who am I kidding, I don't even know 120 people! I was just laying in bed last night after midnight thinking of ways to raise the much needed money and silly idea's popped into my head! Barry had a call at 11:55 from a lady at work who needed him to fill in for her all day today, and after that I couldn't fall back to sleep until almost 3 so you see, I had a lot of time to think! Way too much time!
The card today is made using some fun stickers from M's, and a trick or tweet candy stamp from Hero Arts that I've had for years. The Halloween cards continue to sell well. For that I am thankful!
Have a great day and if you run into any of those 119 other folks, and they don't know what to do with their money, send them my way! I really don't want to be out in the street next Wednesday!
Hugs,
P

SHORT, SIMPLE, QUICK!

I hope I haven't posted this card before, but if I have, please enjoy it all over again! I'm trying to get some things done around the house today, so I'm hurry off to do that this morning.
Have a great day, enjoy the card made with a digi from Whimsie Doodles and come back soon!

P
