I MADE IT!

Oh Yea, Kim and I made the next round of the Hanna Stamps designer contest! I waited and waited, and waited some more last night and finally it was posted over at SCS. Now to wait until Kristi comes back from vacation and sends along a nice new set of stamps to create with! Congrats to everyone who entered. It really takes guts to even get that far.
We had a nice lazy day yesterday for Father's Day. We slept late, had a late breakfast and even later lunch and then Evan picked us up for dinner. It's so nice when the kids come and get you. We met up with the rest of the family at Red Lobster. Barry was in heaven. The kids and seafood! I had chicken because I don't eat seafood, but since they all enjoy it, it works out just fine. My Madelyn was as cute as ever. Her cousin who is 10 was coming to spend the week at her house, so Madelyn was ready to eat and leave. I remember how fun it was to spend time with older cousins. They are so neat and so loving. I still love mine!
My day started out just fine. I ordered a new set of stamps and some buttons from MFT. I was finally able to use my gift certificate I got way back when. The new Rainy Day Girl is so cute and since my friend Gretchen was getting it, I thought I needed it too. I also ordered Spring and Summer buttons. I can never have too many of those. I love the "finishing" touch that buttons add to a project!
Like my coffee cups? I think it's a fun card and could be for a guy as well as a gal. I used some more of that stash of Basic Grey papers. I'm even trying to use the solid colors in the back of the packs. I'm a woman on a mission!
Well, now I'm off to do some work. I've got the trash out, wash going, and made two cards. I hope I'm on a roll. I have to take a break soon and head to M's for pop dots. I won't get far without them! Have a great day and stay cool. It's going to be a hot one again in Dallas!

  2. Congrats on making it to the next round. Crossing my fingers for you to make the team.

I have some of that same BG paper. And every time I look at it, I have no idea how it can be used. I'm in awe that someone figured it out.
