HAPPY MONDAY?

I know you expect a picture of a card or project that you just have to see, but today I don't have anything new to show. Oh yea, there is new stuff in my Etsy store, lots of it in fact, but since it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, you can just hop over there and see it! Please do more then see, buy! I really am at my wits end as to how to get more business in my store. My cards are pretty (I think so) and they are priced to sell, so now what do I do? I guess we give up eating until next week when it's payday. I want to make more cards, but having to go to Larry's to scan and then upload is a pain and if they're not selling, it does take the MOJO out of the picture! Maybe it will come back today, but I don't count on much of anything anymore.
Today I wanted to talk about voting this year and how important it is. If you follow my blog at all, you know I'm a Liberal---with a CAPITAL L! I make no bones about my leanings! Barry and I both come from Liberal families and we still are even with everything that has gone wrong with the country. I'm very pro-choice, and I think the government is the only one big enough to stand up for the working class. All that said, you should vote who you feel best represents you, just like I do. The only thing I ask is that people to the right of my way of thinking stop acting like they are speaking for me! I speak fine all by myself! The Tea Party seems to feel they speak for "all" Americans, but they don't. There are many Americans who speak just fine for themselves! WE can't go back to how it was in the beginning of our great country. The world is a very different place. If suddenly we didn't have education for all, even those with special needs, where would we be? If states had to decide who goes to school and who doesn't because they can't pay for it, then what? These are some of the things the far right think should happen! I don't want pray in schools, and I want to be able to chose to what's done with my body or any woman's body. Gay, straight, or in between, who's to say what's right or wrong. I know lots of Seniors who are scared. We are too. We've lost everything we have now, but I still have faith that the world is ok, and will be ok, but I don't want to give up the rights I have and one of those is voting! Please excise that right!

  1. I love that you are willing to put your beliefs out there for all to see, even though some agree and some don't. I like to describe myself as a knee jerk liberal. I grew up poor and my family up until this generation of my children has been in the union construction trades. That pretty much says it all. You better believe I vote!
