It's Offical, I Wasn't Working Today!

Instead I played with some new images today! I was going to work on DT stuff, but I couldn't get the image to download (tomorrow's fun), so I played with a new Bugaboo Free Digi image! Love, love, love her! I wanted her to be fairly large so I re sized the image up, printed her twice and colored away! See how she's cut and popped up? I had this little Bloom stamp sitting on my desk and it was the perfect touch for this card! The bow is Martha.
We had a nice quite day. Watched the races, eat, and eat some more. We went to Chinese for dinner and then picked up some food at Wally World. We'll be eating in the rest of the week since we spent money on dinner out, but it was nice for a change. Now Barry is napping and I'm half way to bed time myself. I hope you all had a wonderful day.
Hurry back,
Hugs,
P

Celebration Time....

One can never celebrate the good things in life too much, and today I'm just celebrating being alive and having been with my children last night. We had dinner at Larry's and all the kids were there, including Coco. Justin and his GF Morgan showed up, if only for a short time, but at least we got to see them, Evan, Coco, Larry, Tina and the biggest prize of all---Madelyn!
Today's card is one I made yesterday after seeing a layout online that used some of these papers. I always end up with bits and pieces of paper that I can't part with, so this card was perfect for them. The stamp set is from SU. I even paper pieced the birds to use up some more of the scraps.
I woke up to a couple of fun emails today. I sold some cards! Yea! That is a very good thing. I did put some on sale for the holiday weekend, but at least they were sold. I have this growing collection in my stores, and thought it was a good idea to mark some down.
Today is a lazy day. We're planning on watching the races on TV, watching the Ranger's baseball game, and just pigging out! Oh yea, I need to do the wash. It's getting bigger again!
Hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

It was time to get a new Heather Ellis digi image! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Do you ever just get so tired of what you have that you have to have something new? A digi image is the thing for you then! For 2.50 or less (if you buy at the UK site), you have a new toy to play with. I printed this image out 3 times. 1 for the actual image for the card, 1 so I could have the correct line up for the "dress", and the last one for her arm! Over the second image, I taped the printed paper down and printed over it. Then I just cut the dress out. To add the arm, I cut the "arm" and a bit of the shoulder out and added it under the top of the sleeve. When you cut the dress print, you just have to cut across where the arm and dress meet and then slide the "arm" into the area! I only did it for the one arm that was over top of the dress. I also left it ungluded on the dress area so it would seem 3-D. I hope this makes sense. It's an easy way to work with digi images. It just takes a bit more time then just coloring them in.
So what's up for you today? Barry is still in bed watching the morning news programs. I've been playing on the computer and marking some of the cards in my ebay store down to a sale price. I want them gone...but not given away...so I'm having a Memorial Day sale on them! Sure hope that works. It's a long week and a half until SS comes in!
That's it for now...

Tell Me What's Wrong with These Cards!

There has to be something wrong. They have to be ugly or something. I just know they are. And why do I know this...because they are still in my house! Just when you I got my MOJO back, my business has seemed to go south or north or somewhere! I can't believe my luck---it's either bad or no luck!
Oh well, I hope you enjoy looking at the pretties!
Have a wonderful day!

OK, EVERYONE STAND UP AND SAY....

AMEN!

Barry passed his .NET test yesterday and now he's certified in something or other! One test down and only the big one to go! The third time was the charm! I do see that light coming our way. If only I didn't hear the phone ringing off the hook with people wanting money I don't have! Things will get better, I know they will! At least I have hope now! Thank you all for bearing with me on this!

Now to what you really come to see---another fun card! This one was made using some great new paper from October Afternoon. It's truly amazing what a new piece of paper can do for you! And if you have at least a dozen or so (maybe more), well you are ready to take flight! I pulled out Ahoy Matey from SU for this card. I always fall back to this set for "kid" friendly cards.

That's it for today. I'm off to do something. Anything will do. Maybe finish the wash or even empty the clean dishes from the dishwasher. I didn't cook last night. Evan took us to Babe's and we feasted on eating out!

Hugs,

P

Meet Coco, Again!

Isn't she darling? I made this cute, cute card using a digi stamp from Deedee's Digi's! You know as soon as I saw it, I had to have it. She's colored just like Evan's dog. Well almost. I didn't leave any white on her right foot. I looked at the pictures again and again, and still messed up, but she's close enough and she's going to be the card I give to Evan for Father's Day. I wanted to add a bow, but Evan is not a bow type of guy and I didn't think he'd want on his little girl either!!
I want to say a big hi to my friend Leslie. We've known each other since way back in the design days of SCS. She was one of those wonderful designers over there that I fell in love with her work the very first time I saw it. Check out her blog (click on her name) and you will find one of the most elegant designers around! We began by exchanging ribbon, of all things! I think we still both LOVE the stuff!
It's going to be another hot on in Dallas today. So what else is new in the summer! I don't have much planned for today. I do have lots of new paper to play with and plan on doing just that. I have so many idea's doing a dance in my head that I don't know just where to start on any projects! I need to finish up May's DT work for Whimsie Doodles. I think I need one more card and then I need to start on June. June will be my last month on that team. It's been such a blast, but after 6 months, my term is going to be over. Melyssa will be starting with a whole brand new team July 1. I'm sure I'll be following each and every new release. I have applied for a new team, but as with everything, it's a wait and see thing. I hope for the best, but if not, I know there will be another plan waiting somewhere for me!
Now to have another cup of coffee...............

Just Plain Ole Pretty!

You know how you create and some cards turn out just as you pictured they would and then you say "wow, that's pretty", well that's how this card turned out to me. Now maybe you think it's just so "there", but to me, it's simple, clean, and PRETTY! I used some of that new Basic Grey and an SU stamp that I really like. A little faded flower was perfect for the card and a bit of ribbon! I saw this lay out while surfing blog land and thought it would work for me as well. I have have over 2 dozen cards in my ebay store for sale. I guess that's what happens when you get on a roll!
It's going to be hot again in Dallas today. Summer is almost here and that always means HOT in Texas. Some years are better then others, so I'm hoping this one is on the mild side. Last summer wasn't too bad, for Texas that is. Since Evan moved into his house we don't have his apartment pool to swim at. I'll miss using that. It was always nice because it was close to home, we had his key for bathroom breaks, and it was FREE! We'll have to find another place to swim. We have several community pools in our town and they are great, but cost a few bucks, so you have to plan your outings to those. Maybe we'll win the Lotto or Power Ball and move to the beach! That sounds like a plan to me!
Well, gotta go and do something. I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet, so my mind isn't up to speed yet.
Have a great day and hurry back!
Hugs,
P

Sweet Little Graduate

Can things get any better then a new pad of Basic Grey paper and a fun image to color? Of course the answer is NO! I don't get out from the home much these days---can you tell? Anyway, the paper is from that new pad I got on Saturday and the image is a digi from Heather Ellis. These charming little children will worm their way into any one's heart!
I hope everyone had a good weekend. We didn't even get dressed yesterday. Stayed in PJ mode all day. I did get a BUNCH of cards made and up in my ebay store. I made over a dozen cards yesterday and a few more this morning. Then it was time to hit Wally World for some toilet paper. Nothing worse then getting down to the last roll! I ended up with a stop at J's. All the scrapbook crafting things are 40% off! A good time to stock up on basics like glue and a package of red card stock. No, it's not SU, but it cost a whole lot less and that's the name of the game these days!
Today Barry is in school. He's studying to take his test again this week. Third time is going to be the charm! Tonight he's got a Lion's Club meeting and I get to watch the TV all on my own! Simple things are so good!
Well, I'm off to work on some more cards and finish the wash.
Hugs and Love,
P

Second Post of the Day!

I don't normally post twice a day, but I am so in love with my new stamps that I wanted to share her with you! She's the new Beach Bum from MFT's. I love, love, love the way she turned out! I have been a busy girl today. I've made over a dozen cards for my ebay store, so look out world---I'm coming! My little girl was made using some DCWV paper I bought a few months ago. The "sand" is from a stamp that I've had for ages. It works for water or sand, just depends on the color ink you use.
Well, that's it for us tonight. We're trying to figure out what's for dinner. I want pizza and Barry doesn't know what he wants. The usual at our house!
Love and Hugs,
P

Get Along Little Moosey!

You gotta love those Riley's! Each one is made to just make you happy to be alive! This card was made more then a year ago, but I thought I'd share it with you today---just in case you missed it! The backround catus is from Lizzie Anne, as is the verse. They seem to go together just fine!
Yesterday was a good day. No we didn't win the Lotto, and I did buy one ticket, but I got two new things that made me very happy.
You know I don't spend much money anymore on anything, but sometimes you have to spend some to make some, and yesterday was the case. I had to mail out cards I sold in my ebay store at the main post office and since it's on the way to several scrapbook stores, Barry was so sweet to let me pick one that I wanted to go to. I picked the one that I have friends who work there. It's called Scrappers Boutique. It was fun to say hi to Jenn and talk with Susie. I don't get out of the house near enough! Anyway, I bought a new pad of 6x6 Basic Grey and the new Beach Bun Pure Innocence stamp from MFT! I wanted another pad of paper, but I had to chose between it and the new stamp. The stamp won! I made a card last night using her, but haven't taken a picture yet. Stay turned for that!
Today is a lazy day, I think. I need to turn out some cards for the store and get the wash done. The Ranger play an early game so I don't have to worry about what's on TV. They are! I'm sure Barry will want to eat today, so I need to start thinking what's for dinner, again, but all-in-all, a lazy day!
Take care, hurry back, and stay safe!
Hugs,
P

Whimsie Doodles Plaid Kinda Day!

Is Mr Sock Monkey cute or what! Of course he's cute and so fun to have! He's part of the new red rubber from Whimsie Doodles May release. I paper pieced the heart balloon with the plaid paper and I also did the heart from the little verse.
Well today is a big day at the Bloom Zoo. No Barry didn't get a job, but an interview is just a big deal these days! A firm called at 5 last night to see if he could come for an interview at noon today. Nothing about a job. We think it's more of a meet-and-greet type of thing. It's with a consulting firm, but then again, who knows. Barry had to wear shoes to go to school this morning. He's used to wearing sneakers and he had to use a can of air to clean off the dust! I keep telling myself, self, it's baby steps!
We don't have any plans for the weekend. Just to take things nice and slow. That's always a nice cheap thing to do. I need to refill my ebay store with some more cards. I sold some this week, but it seems like only the new stuff sells---there is nothing wrong with the other cards. Hey, I like them!
Have a great day and think only good thoughts!
Hugs,
P

The Joy of Creating!

With all the other stuff in my life that never stops coming around, the only thing that I think has kept me sane is that I really enjoy creating my little works of art. IT lets me dream of what could be. Of all the things that are right in the world, and how I can be a part of that. So, Thank You for all your love and warmth. Yesterday could have been such a black day for us. We are at the verge of losing everything, and then I found a person to talk to at the bank who thinks they may be able to help. I don't know if it's possible, but the hope of sunshine is there. Sometimes that's all you need---HOPE! I also was accept to start a medical study that pays well. It's not a job, but it will be some extra money when it's over. They took a lot of tests and one came back with not so good results, and I will need to find some medical help, but that will have to wait a while, even for that.
The card I created and sold, was made using my SU Upsy Daisy set of flowers and some of the prettiest ribbon around. It's that wrinkled silk that everyone is talking about. I bought one yard of 3 different colors the other day. Hey, I can be a sport for 3.00! This one is a rosey pinky red color. Notice the size of the card? It's 6 1/4 x 3 1/4. It fits in the SU note size enveoples. It's a fun size card to make. The paper is from HL. I found a small piece that fit just right in the pile on my desk. The buttons are BG.
Well, I'm off today to the VA clinic with Barry. He gets the results of all his tests back in January he took. We guess their all good or they would have let him know by now, but it's always nice to hear in person. I found I had 9.21 left on a rebate debut card yesterday, so I'm treating Barry to lunch at Carl's Jr right near where we go. It's a good thing they are far away from us. I love their food. It's good and doesn't cost an arm and leg. The burgers are so big, we share!
Take care and thanks for listening to the rambling of a crazy old person today!
Hugs,
P

Twin Beauties!

Well, at least I think so! It's hard to tell but there is lots of glitter on the flowers and the ribbon is that new silky stuff. I'm sellig them together, so maybe that will help.
Not much new in the Bloom Zoo today. Waiting for the cable guy to come. That could be anytime between now and when hell is cold! You know how the cable people are! Barry is still in school. Takes his test, again, next week.
That's all folks---Hugs,
P

Dig Those OLdies Out!

This card was made using paper that I've had for several years (who knew!) and a really old set of SU stamps! Remember Aloha? This is the shirt from there. HOT STUFF is from Amuse.
More to come later, hopefully!

P

Father's Day Classic

I was very productive yesterday! I made almost a dozen cards and finished up one more today. Now, hopefully they will sell, sell, sell! I put them all in my ebay store. Next I'll make some more for the Etsy store! I made these using some Basic Grey papers and the last of the SU note cards I got as a RAK a few years ago. I love this size card. It's so fun to make. I had to show you the inside cause I thought it was perfect! It is, isn't it?

Nothing new to report in the ever staying the same Bloom Zoo. Barry did have several calls about one job that opened up. That's what happens, but still it's hopeful. I'm going tomorrow to see if I can get in a paying medical study. Bad knee! Lucky me!

Well that's all folks!

Hugs

Ridem' Cowgirl!

Does anybody else have this fun set? I don't think I've used it enough! She was so fun to create! The card was made using several pieces of scrap. The little yellow plaid and even the green paper were found on my desk! I broke down and bought a few new pieces of paper the other day. I was so sick of looking at the same ones, day after day, so I bought 5 new sheets. I love them!
Well just in case any one was interested, Barry didn't pass his test on Wednesday. He's going to take it again on 5/26. The third time WILL be the charm! I was telling a friend this morning that he knows the work, it's just he's not good at taking tests! On the job front, nothing there yet either, but things are started to pick up. At least he's had some calls this week and an interest in his resume. The only problem, there are only a few jobs around and they all want him for that! Now if someone would just give him an interview!
I'm still having some hearing problems. It gets a little better, but still a problem. Problem seems to be my middle name these days! Oh well, another day, another story!
Have a wonderful weekend. I'm off to create something!
Hugs,
P

Do You See Yourself In This?

Stampers' Rules of Acquisition(Original compilation by Deborah of the Rubber Stamper's Email List - copied here by permission)

#1) You want it, therefore you need it.
#2) You need it, therefore you must buy it.
#3) All other things you need, including food, shelter, clothing, car insurance, and lunch money, are incidental in comparison to what you need for stamping.
#4) Never add up the total for what you have purchased for stamping.
#5) "If you're not sure you should buy something.........for *whatever* reason........if someone else says they have it and *like* it........then you *have* to buy it!"
#6) If you are compelled to calculate total dollars spent on stamping and related items, never count things that are not actual stamps.
#7) If you are compelled to calculate total dollars spent on stamping and related items, never include items that cannot be traced via the receipt (i.e. -- office supplies are office supplies, gift wrap is gift wrap -- never mind where it ends up in your house....)
#8) When writing checks from the joint checking account, always write "S.W." in the check register. You will know that this stands for Stamp Wares but DH will think it is Safeway when he scans the checkbook to see where you have been shopping. And he KNOWS groceries are expensive, and you need lots of them.... (editor's note: Substitute the grocery store in your cityfor Safeway; here it would be Sentry...[S. is for....])
#9) If a member of your family discards an item that is usable for stamping, you may replace it. For example, your husband receives a shirt as a gift - if he throws the tissue paper away you may purchase a replacement. You do not have to replace it with the same white tissue paper. This applies to candy bar wrappers that your kids throw away too, however they are not permitted to eat the replacement candy!
#10) If everyone else wants it, then you must want it too -- even if you don't know what it is. (case in point -- one word -- "blitzer")
#11) If everyone else wants it, even if you don't know what it is, and you find it on sale, buy it ALL.(Editor's note: This phenomenon is widely known as the SALE factor, and is the only situation in which the Stamper may completely ignore Rules of Acquisition #6 and #7, and announce gleefully how much money s/he has SAVED by purchasing said items. (This suspending of the rules is dependent upon: a) the actual percentage off, b) the total dollar amount spent c) the projected reaction of partner/other interested party. For more detailed worksheet on Rule Suspension see Stampers' Rules of Acquisition Handbook - Chapter 9, Sub-section C, Paragraph 14, and modelon facing page.)
#12) NEVER, NEVER let your DH read the Stamper's Rules of Acquisition........for reasons OBVIOUS to the seasoned stamper. For those of you who are newbies....does "the gig is up"mean anything to you?
#13) Reconciling yourself early to the fact that every trip to the stampstore costs a minimum of $40, even if your intentions were to buy just one sheet of sticker paper, will save you much anxiety and false guilt.
#14) Grabbags MUST be purchased at they time they are advertised. There very likely could be that ONE special stamp you cannot live without, and the others work for RAKS! If you don't order immediately, you may lose that special stamp.
#15) Keep *everything*, no matter how useless or ugly or small it may be. It *will* become absolutely essential for a rubber project some day.
#16) When you buy something, use it before you read the directions.*(*Acquisition reasoning -- if you mess it up or break it, you get to buy another one...)
#17) You can't take it with you applies only to money. Begin getting your loved ones accustomed to the fact that you intend to be buried with your stamps.
18) Stamping is an inexpensive hobby. This can be proved by applying"Blondes' Logic" to your stamping purchases. For example, no hobby where the supplies usually cost under $10 can possibly be as expensive as big ticket, predominately male hobbies such as radio controlled airplanes, restoring vintage automobiles, pro-team season tickets, etc. This justmakes sense.
#19) Every stamper MUST own every type of glue that is on the market. However, s/he may restrict use to her/his favorite.
#20) Whenever a new stamp pad is made available, you must immediately purchase every one of the colors in which it comes.
#21) When getting a stamp for a particular project it is imperative that you buy the same image type from a variety of companies (a minimum of 3 is recommended). Once you actually sit down to make the project you will find that it is much better that you have not limited your selection to just one option of the image.
#22) It is essential to have ALL the Fiskar edged scissors even if you know you won't use anything but the deckle edge. You never know when having the Victorian hearts flourish edge won't be PERFECT!
#23) Get all types of markers, don't limit your creativity to just Marveys and LePlumes. Make sure you have a good selection of Tombows, Tria's and even the cheap kind you buy at the market!
#24) The iron is NOT for clothes. Anyone who uses an iron for clothes is excommunicated from theStamper's Union. (Editor's note: You may avoid excommunication by following subsection B pursuant to rule #23 which in layman's terms translates as "you may use an iron for its original perverted purpose only by purchasing an auxiliary iron. However, only the old iron may be used for household purposes. Afore mentioned perverted purpose is not one that is condoned by the Stamper's Union and should be performed ONLY by support staff personnel.)
#25) Tissue paper is for making envelopes and for hoarding. Never use it for wrapping packagesunless you have stamped on it first.
#26) There is absolutely NO such thing as too much paper...of any kind. Disregard nasty comments about the two years worth of New York Times stashed in the boxes at the back of the garage.Corollaries here are: a-the complete set of National Geographics is worth the $150...they are actually priceless. b-it is perfectly acceptable to save not only the wrapping paper on your presents, but all the wrapping paper on everyone's presents...c-EVERYTHING is exotic paper and should be purchased and/or saved. Including the $24 a sheet stuff you saw at the specialty store.
#27) If you think there is a ghost of a chance that you might use it in a future project, buy it now.Cause if you need it later, you can bet a) you won't be able to find it, b) no one will have heard of it and c) there won't be a substitute.
#28) A stamper must purchase appropriate storage containers, shelves, bins, units, etc., for all stamping related purchases. A stamper has the right and responsibility to discard all previously purchased storage systems in order to purchase a new, more appropriate system at any time.
#29) A corollary to number 18 above: Stamping actually saves money. Stamping promotes the do-it-yourself philosophy. This is evident in the activities of mounting your own, carving your own, and making your ownpaper. By applying "Blondes' Logic" it can be concluded that you can'tafford not to stamp.
#30) Stamping is your civic duty. Think globally, act locally. Purchasing stamps and supplies is politically correct for the following reasons: 1.) It supports a local business and reduces the number of unemployed;2.) it promotes the arts and feeds starving artists (designers ofstamps); 3.) it supports minority owned businesses (many stamp companies are run by women); and 4.) buying expensive, imported handmade paper stimulates the economies of developing nations. Thus purchasing stamp supplies is your civic duty. It logically follows that the world would be a better place if everyone stamped. Write your congressmen today to begin the process of passing legislation making it illegal not to stamp.
#31) If you happen upon a super rs-related deal somewhere and you buy enough for you and all your friends and your friends buy some from you--the money they give you is free to be used to purchase MORE RS stuff, since it has been "laundered" and isn't technically, coming out of your pocket!
#32 If, in the course of purchasing something, you also purchase something for a friend, the cost of the friend's merchandise is totally exempt from record-keeping. When she pays you back, it's "free money" and may be used for any purpose, particularly if it involves stamping supplies.
#33 A corollary to Rule #32 is that the money the friend pays back is governed by the laws of "money saved," i.e., money you spend for someone else is "money saved" when returned to you, since you now did not spend that money. The proper phrasing is, "Honey, I bought some cardstock for Sue and she paid me back...boy, did I save some money!"
#34 "Screw it, buy them all!"

Today's The Day---Say A Prayer

Barry is taking another test to get .NET certification. It's his second time taking this test. It's very hard. I keep telling him if it was easy, everyone would be working for Microsoft! I wish he was! His test is this afternoon and I'm on pins and needles right now. I JUST know he'll do ok!
Today's card was make using some fun DCVW paper that I'm sure you've seen before. I keep using it. I love it and have 2 pads of it. The boots and verse are from 2 different SU sets, and of course the buttons are from the thousands I have all over the place! I think they add a nice updated fun touch to the card! I added this one to my Etsy store yesterday.
That's it for now. I have to really do something today, besides wait and wait to hear from Barry. I need to work on some more cards for the store.
Have a good day!
Hugs,
P

Don't Mind Me, But Another Little Girl To Share!

I had bought this image online and downloaded it, but then I lost the file and I didn't want to "re buy" it again, so I thought all was lost until I found one image already printed out yesterday. I was so happy to see this sweet girl again. I made this card and found this wonderful little verse to go with it. She has found a new home, I'm happy to say. I'm so thankful of my customers that have followed me to my Etsy store. Because of them, I can put food on the table this week. I know that might sound like a small thing to say, but it's what is happening to us. I pray for better days and hope I've asked the right questions to get us there!
Love to all who enter---

Life is Just a Bowl Of Cherries! Isn't It?

Who could resist taking this charming little cherry dressed girl home with them? Hopefully no own will be able to say NO to her and they'll give her a good home! I just listed several new cards in my Etsy shop and a wonderful handmade Angel. I used to make them all the time, now I never get around to them. I have several more to list in the coming days. The card was made using a few different papers. The green is from SU. The dots and cherry are unknown to me. I've had them around my desk for so long in bits and pieces that I just pulled a bit out and there is the card! I paper pieced her dress to match! You can't tell, but there is Crystal Effects on the balloon!
Barry went to a job fair today and had two people take his resume. I know that doesn't sound like much, but after having no takers for so long, it's a step up! On a sad note, my good friends wonderful special hubby was laid off from his job last month. I heard about it yesterday when I was wishing her a happy day. She and I went to HS together and share my hubby! She dated him first, you know, like a good friend should, and checked him out, and now we both have the best of them all.
We had a great time yesterday. Larry and Tina made a great dinner of steaks and baked potatoes with all the fixing! I got some M's Gift cards. I used part of one already today. I was out of some basics and it came right on time.
Barry is off to a meeting tonight and I'm headed to bed for an early nap. No Ranger game tonight. I miss my daily dose of baseball. We love our Rangers and they're doin' good this year.
Well, have a great night.
HUGS,
P

Happy Mother's Day

I don't have a Mother's Day to show today. I didn't have a Mom to send one to, just Tina, my DIL this year. It seems so strange not to send one to either my own Mom or Barry's Mother. It's the first year we're not done so since we were married almost 40 years ago. I know we had so many wonderful years with them both and that will get us by.
I've also posted a picture of our Grandpuppy Coco. She is getting so big! This is her just too tired to get up! It's hard with such short legs and a big round body to move too fast. Take my word on this one! She's coming for dinner tonight too!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using one of my favorite older SU sets. I love the 2-step flower sets. The roses are so pretty when stamped and I think make a beautiful card. The little verse is also SU, but from the sympathy set. There isn't anything fancy about this card, just some plain ole fun stamping. Just the reason most of us got into this HABIT!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day and hurry back!

Hugs and Love

THE GIRLS ARE BACK IN TOWN!

All my sweet little girls are ready to take flight and go to a new home! Today I thought I'd share some of the many new cards that I've added to my collection of MFT Sweet Innocence girls. To say I'm hooked on these Sweet children would be an understatement---I just think they are so wonderful! The best part---I can always make more! I've added them to my Etsy store, so if you need a card, take a look!
Today is Madelyn's 7th birthday. I can't believe all those years have gone bye. Where oh where did they go? This Grandma is feeling every one of those years these days! She's having her birthday celebration at Great Wolf Lodge. She stayed there last night with several friends and is having a day of play today. Tomorrow she'll have another party with her family. Lucky girl! She is a very sweet and bright child!
We're staying close to home this weekend. I am very concerned about our lives. We've both applied for more jobs and still nothing. They say the market is opening up, and I'm sure that's so, but now for every job that's out there, there are more and more people applying. At least that's a good sign of how things are coming back. I don't know if we'll make the comeback. It's become a real worry to me, but I leave it in hands that must know more then me. After all this time it's clear we, here on Earth, have no control of what happens. I'm hoping our prayers are answered because I have a hard time taking those prayers to the store and buying food for our table!
Thank you all for being my friend!
Hugs and much love,
P

Thank Goodness It's Friday!

What a long week! I'm so glad I don't have anything planed for today. I think the week has finally caught up with me and I'm tired! Getting ready for the Blog Hop and my PCP posting for Mother's Day seem to take all I had left! The hearing problems don't help. It places so much stress on me, and right now that's all I need. MORE STRESS! Now for a nice quite weekend and a sweet Mother's Day.
Today I'm sharing another one of those basic cards I love to make. This is stamped with an SU set that I can't bear to part with and instead of the usual flowers, I added buttons. I got this idea from Papertray. They have some neat stamps, but at this time I just have to make due with what I've got, so I added the buttons. It's a fun, fresh look. The paper is SU. I'm sorry to say I'm running out of this paper. I got this from my friend Pat in an RAK, and fell in love with it right away. Just so you know, this card is in my Etsy store, if you want to take a look. If anyone has any ideas on selling on Etsy, please share with me. I thought it would be easier, but I'm finding out that's not so.
Have a great day and hurry back.
Hugs,
P

Can you say "hooked" on tiny little chipboard albums? They are so darn fun to make. Today I wanted to share another I made using some fun baby papers I had. I pulled 4 different sheets of baby papers, one sheet of white chipboard from the back of a package of SU papers, and some buttons. Add to the mix a few fun stamps, and you have the makings of an album! I've listed this one for sale in my Etsy store if you're interested in seeing it.
Yesterday was a great day for Whimsie Doodles Anniversary. I hope everyone saw all the blogs that the girls create on.
Barry is taking his test for .NET next week. He's busy submitting resumes for jobs this week. Toes crossed on that. My hearing is the same. I know is a strange thing to say, but I know it's getting a little better, and how do I know this you ask. When I go pee, I can hear it this week, and last week I couldn't! It still feels like my face is going to fall off, but I'm hoping kisses from Madelyn this weekend will help that! We're going to their house on Sunday to celebrate both Mother's Day and Madelyn's 7th birthday!
That's it for today. I hope you've enjoy both posts. It's rare for me, but I just wanted to share my new album!
Hugs,
P

A Gift For Someone Speical!

I have been hooked on these little photo albums for a while now and today I want to show you one that I made for a special lady in our lives. This one is for Tina, Larry's wife. Yes, the mother of our grandchildren, and a wonderful person! They are the one's who got married at Disney and have spent a lot of vacations down in Disney World. I thought she could add a few pictures to this little book and it won't take up a lot of room in her handbag! All the paper came from a scrapbook show that I went to several years ago with my friend Gretchen. The paper was just sitting there minding it's own business and now it's finally got a home! The large Mickey heads came from a die cut package I bought a few years ago also but in San Diego while visiting our friends. The tiny heads are a punch. I love the way it turned out and I hope she will too!

Let's see, what else is new. Still having the hearing problems. Nothing seems to help. I don't have the hearing in either ear sometimes, and then maybe in one at another time. It gets so bad at times, I'm ready to scream, if I could only hear myself!

Well, I'm off to get ready for the Whimsie Doodles Blog hop tomorrow. Please make sure you come back. There's going to be a prize right on my own blog given out and I can't wait to share with you. So get those fingers ready to leave a comment and get a chance to win!

Hugs,

P

Sneak Peak For Anniverary Hop!

May is Whimsie Doodles 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it's been 1 year already!! Wooo hoooo. Today it's about a wonderful set called Every Other Day. This is just a sample of all the new rubber and digi stamps, plus a new series of kids that will be released on May 5. Today it's all about the Every Other Day. They are some old favorites revised and made into rubber.

Hop over to the Whimsie Doodles blog for a chance to win a new Every Other Day Stamp.
Make sure you come back on May 5 for lots of new samples to see and games to play. There will be prizes to win!
You know the more things change the more they seem to stay the same. My hearing is about the same. None in one ear and some in the other. That hasn't changed all week. It's getting pretty scary and I don't know what to do. Nothing has seemed to help and it's been over 3 weeks now, And it's official, I'm again down in the dumps, again! How do people keep going on and on? I have several Friends who have illness right now and they have to hang on. I've been there and back, so I do know you can do it, but honestly, I'm tired of it! I want it done. In addition to the illness, I thought I'd have some money this morning. Oh not a lot, who would wish for that, but more then 1.03 I have in the bank. But then something happens and then you don't have it. I can't seem to win, ever! Sign off now if you're sick of me whining, because I sure am sick of it. Again, I am at a lose as to the whys of how this continues to happen.
