A Bit OF Blog Candy!

When I said it was the job from Hell, I really meant it. It WAS, as in past tense. I told them yesterday I can't do this anymore. I was so sick at work from the heat and standing, I almost passed out. Enough of that job. It just wasn't right for me. And to top it off, they said we were going to be working 6 days a week, 10 hours a day. They were very nice and said they understood my quiting. Now I'm on the hunt again for a job.
I did have a bit of luck when I came home. I had some phone numbers for help lines to call and the first one I called was able to help with our electric bill. And because I asked if they have any other help, they are sending me a gift certificate to Wally World. That will help with food. What a blessing to have found help yesterday. I wish I could say the same about the other calls I made, but no other number I called could help. I have lots of other phone numbers to call, so we'll see where they take us. I need to take a shower and look for a job today, mail out the cards I sold over at eBay, and do some cleaning around the house. That's the plan. My plans never seem to work our as planned these days, so we'll see how the day goes!
I've been working on something else that might work. I know when asked to buy raffle tickets, people jump at the chance to get something for a buck or two. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Making some wonderful crafty something or other, and selling raffle tickets. Does this sound like something you might be interested in? Is it something you'd spend a dollar on? I'm interested in getting your feedback on this idea. Please leave me a comment and I'll have a drawing tomorrow night (Thursday) for great big package of 72 Flora Doodles flowers by Petaloo! It's a win-win for everyone!
Gotta run now. Please keep up the good thoughts for the crazy Bloom family. They must be helping cause I feel better already!
Hugs & Blessings

  3. I hope you find a different job that will suit you better! That job sounded like it would be hard for most anybody! I guess the cell phone business is booming even if nothing else is! Your cards are so beautiful Paula. If you could get what your cards are worth, you'd be a millionaire! ~~Pam
