Saturday Round Up!

Happy Saturday everyone! These are just a few of the more recent cards I've made and added to my store! My sweet little girls and a even a nice verse from MFT! I used the fun SU bird punch on the middle card and of course, all the paper is digi.

I'm off work the whole weekend and Barry is working both days! That's the story of our lives these days, and since we didn't win the Mega Millions, I guess we still both have to work! Madelyn is coming to stay the night with us and part of tomorrow, so I have to get my creating time started soon. What to make, what to make? I never know, but I think I might make a card or two for the children in our lives.

Where Has The Week Gone?

WOW! I can't it's Friday already! The week has just seemed to past me by this time! I'm not sure that I got too much done even, but it's still Friday! I didn't even get anything created in my studio, but I did mange to sell a few cards this week and that's not a bad thing! I love how this boat card turned out. It's a freebie image that I picked up somewhere on the web and turned it into a Father's Day card with an old Amuse stamp for a saying. Men cards are always the hardest to do for me, but I have to say I'm happy with how this turned out. I even made 2 cards with the same image and layout!

Let's see, week in review. We got our taxes done and have some coming back if the IRS doesn't keep it to go toward the balance owed. We got a new membership at Sam's from Barry's work. We used it yesterday. Now I have both Costco and Sam's. Danger, danger! I didn't get the wash done, or even the house cleaned, but I did get all my hanging clothes hung up and off the bench in our bedroom. I can see the seat! I guess that's about all for the week. Lazy week, but after today, I'm off work until Monday, so I hope to get the house nice and tidy for Passover. The gang will be over on Thursday night for dinner.

IT'S SUNDAY, SO BEE HAPP!

The sun is shining and it's going to be warm today is Dallas and if for no other reason, that's a reason to smile! I don't know what it is about the warmth of the sun that makes the world just seem right, but it does! I have no plans right now. Barry is working and I'm just playing in creation station. See the pretty card? I'm so happy to have "new" to me stamps to play with. I now have a bunch of MFT stamps and I'm a happy camper! The little verse is from a $ set, but just perfect for the card and the bee came from Wally World. My paper is again from Amy's store.

Open, OPen, Open!

My first Mother's Day of the year! I love the way she turned out! What could be better then plaids, checks, and a sweet pure innocence girl!

What a nice day it's turning out to be! Barry is working all weekend and I'm off the whole weekend, but I'm still enjoying my "me time", and getting things done! I'm going to meet Barry for lunch when he's on his way from one job to the other. OH how I wish we'd win the Lotto!

Super Day!

I know it's not even Friday yet, but I'm so happy it's going to be soon! I'm off for 3 days now and I can't wait to have some fun time to play! Just like my little soccor player is getting ready to do! When I don't know what to create, I always fall back to either Riley the Moose or My Favorite Things! They are the "go to" images that I find so easy to create with. I bought this fun paper from my friend Amy's store over at Etsy because I knew it would be perfect for this card and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Do you ever have so many idea's in your head that they all seem to want to get out at the same time? That seems to happen to me when I'm in bed at night and the house is still,except for Barry's noise, and my mind runs on full speed! I try and write them down if the light is still on because I know I'll forget in the morning and sometimes I'm just too tired to get up and hope I remember! How do you keep all your idea's together? Let me know!

Gotta run now and see about dinner. Have a great night and please say a prayer for us for tomorrow. We go and see if Barry is going to need hernia surgery.

Happy Wednesday!

Thank goodness I got to sleep a bit later today! I don't have to be at work til 2, so the few extra hours of sleep were needed! Barry went off early to get his car fixed and now several hours later he's still gone---too bad! I should be doing some creating, but it feels good just to play around doing nothing! I did talk to family this morning. I'm busy getting addresses for Evan and Mandy for the wedding list. It makes it seem so real and I can't wait!

Think Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring! It's been pouring rain there in Dallas, but nevertheless, it's Spring! I, for one, can't wait until it's full blown, with all the flowers out in force. Spring is a wonderful time of the year with a new sense of wonder each and every year and this year is no different. It's a new beginning for Barry and I and I hope it brings us peace and good health.

My card today is one that I really love. The colors of the digi papers are this perfect for this time of year and my birdie is ready! It's the SU bird punch that a freind lent me. Now it's on my "must have" list! The little saying is from MFT.

Today I have a much shorter day at work then yesterday! Thank goodness! Standing on my feet is not something I look forward to each and every day, but I do enjoy getting paid, so a shorter day is always welcome! Barry is home alone again today and I'm sure he'll spend a good part of that time one the computer. I told him I want the new IPad, so maybe he'll take a look at it online. Let's put it this way, it's on my Wish List!

Sunday Fun!

I am so happy it's Sunday and I'm not working. Well, that's not excatly right. I mean working outside my home! I finished the wash, got two cards made, and now I'm going to settle down and do some napping! So, you see, it's been a good Sunday already! Barry is working again all day and won't be home until after 8. I still have lots of "me" time to play later.

The card I've shown today is made using another MFT stamp along with a verse from Deedee's Digis. Don't you just love the apple paper? Silly question, of course you do! Another from my friend Amy's collections!

Happy St Patty's Day!

We Made It!

To Friday, that is!

It's been one of those long weeks and finally Friday is here! Today we are just kickin' back and doing a little of nothing! Maybe I'll create, but then again, maybe not! I slept late and had a nice breakfast, and now it's time to have a cup of fresh coffee! To celebrate that I've made a fun card using Paper Smooches stamps. I love the way it turned out. Her stamps are so darn cute!

Another Simple and Fun Card!

Morning Wednesday! Madelyn is visiting again today. Her Dad will be picking her up at noon so I can go to work. She's busy right now putting some order to my Spellbinders Collection! Silly girl. It will be messed up again as soon as I create again! Like the card? I love the simple stamps from Paper Smooches. Very cute! I've added a few new cards to my Etsy shop, so hop over and see them!

Morning Sunshine!

Fun!

DRESS UP DAYS!

When I paper piece the dresses on these fun little girls it always reminds me of playing with paper dolls growing up! I still love it! She's all dressed up in some fancy flower paper from my friend Amy's Etsy store again! Two things I love, paper and making cards!

Yesterday was a fun afternoon. I got invited to a stamp club get together. One of the gals I work with held it at her apartment clubroom. There were about 16 people there. As usual, I didn't make anything at stamp club. I just love to go and chat with like minded women. It's fun to sit around and just talk. I did a demo on how to make the wrinkled ribbon and gave out samples. I even sold one card. Most of the ladies are simple card makers and they really enjoyed all the "stuff" I add to mine.

Barry is working today so I have a whole day to myself. I'm suppose to go to Larry and Tina's this afternoon and then to have dinner with them tonight. We'll see. It's a grey day right now and I'm in no rush to do much of anything.

Madelyn is coming over this week on spring break. We're all working around each other's days off, so she'll be with Barry and I for parts, and her mom and dad for other days.

Well I hear coffee calling my name.

Good, Bad, Ugly, or Who Knows!

Self doubt is a terrible thing. We should never doubt our own work, but sometimes, it creeps into my thoughts! Not doubt about my art work or my fun combinations of paper, but what am I missing when it comes to selling cards! They are priced to sell, all different types, and yet...

All that talk is for another day. Right now I'm in my studio and playing with some images and pretty digi papers and there isn't a hubby in sight! Barry has a meeting tonight, so my office is my office for me alone right now! It's so nice to play at my desk and then hop on the computer and see what everyone else is doing!

Work was so bad today! No power all day! A transformer was hit at 3:30 and the only power we had was from the generators! We couldn't sell anything cold or hot, and the customers for the most part were ok, but then there is a few!

Off to eat now and work on something fun. I'm going to stamp club this Saturday with friends from work. It's not something I usually do. I don't like BIG groups, but since Barry is working, I'm going anyway. There will be 16 and I'm going to do a demo on wrinkled ribbon! Like that's hard!!!!

Howdy Partner!

Thank goodness today is finally over and I'm heading off to bed! Barry worked all day and so did I! Standing on my feet for 7 hours and I know the meaning of "beat" when I get home! Barry was asked to work today and then at 5:15, they asked him to work the next two days! The money is too good to pass up and it will be nice to have a day to myself tomorrow. I'm off. I need to do the wash, see my furry grandchild, and do a little creating! And maybe not in that order! I'll see what the mood is when I get moving!

Today's card is an oldey, but goody Riley stamp who just keeps showing up on my desk from time to time. I, of course, love anything Riley and he's too cute to sit for long! I used more goodness papers from my friend Amy's shop. You can see her links in other posts, so check them out!

It Was A Good Day!

We, at the Bloom Zoo, had a good day! Our case will be discharged in 60-101 days and then we can start a new day! We've been doing that for the last 6 months anyway, but without being afraid to pick up the phone or open the mail will be a blessing!

Isn't She Lovely!

Good morning friends and fellow bloggers. It's so nice to see that you've come back to check out what's new in my world! This sweet Whimsie Doodles image is the new toy for today! She was so easy to color and perfect to wish someone a special Easter! I used tons of scraps from all over my desk to make the card. All the papers come from Amy's collections on Etsy. I love her stuff! She's always adding new and fun papers and they are priced just right! The little saying stamp is from SU. Remember the truck set? It's from there.

Barry is working all day and won't be home until after 8, so of course having the whole day to myself, I went back to bed when he left! It was good to sleep late. I've been feeling a little under the weather with allergies, so sleeping in was great! I'm going to try and make something today. I know, it's the try part! Tomorrow we go to court to see what the judge will do with our bankrupt case. We need to be able to start all over again! It's been a long and hard 5 years and now I think we're headed in the right direction.

Must be off now to see what I can get into to, besides a cup of coffee!

Happy Saturday!

I'm hurrying to write this before I have to work today. It's a bummer, I know! Work from 9-3 but then I'm off until Tuesday, so I think I can make it through the day! I'm trying to work on Easter cards. I like to have a nice collection in my store so I can see just what's not selling. It's the kind of thing that always makes me feel soooo good! It's a very good thing that I enjoy the process of creating! This card is made using a digi verse from Deedee's Digi's and a SU cross.

Barry is working all day too. He's accepted a job with his back up part time place for the next 4 weeks of working from 9-3 Sat and Sun, and then working at his regular part time place from 4-8! Thank goodness it's only on the weekend! The good part is, of course, we'll have a few more bucks, but since I seem to be off most Sunday's lately, I'll miss his company.
