I Can See My Desk Top, Almost!

OMG, isn't he the cutest little moose guy you've seen today! I never get tired of seeing these little guys all dressed up and ready to go! Today's Riley is paired up with lots of neat digi papers and a fun verse.

Well, lets see, what new in my life? Barry hung my shelves in the new office yesterday. He's got 2 of mine over his desk, but I still plan on using them. I NEED the space. I hope to work on the boxes later today or at least over the weekend. Today we're planning on hanging the mirror over my dresser and the picture over our bed. Small steps, but much needed! I do have the wash to do and I still have to use the public laundry room. We have a problem with the plug on the washer. One of our neighbors was moving and gave us the one they used because the plug is different on the washer then in the apartment, but the new one has 4 wires and our dryer only 3, so Barry has to figure it out! More quarters used for the wash!

That's about it for life at the Bloom Zoo today!

Batter UP!

So Riley is ready for the season to begin, and so am I! My Texas Rangers start the real show on Friday and it's about time! Check out the baseball brads. I got these way back, at least 3 years ago at a craft show Barry and I went to with Fred and Gretchen. I knew they would come in handy some time! The digi paper is from a freebie I got last week. I just love the way this card turned out.

Today our weather feels anything like Srpingtime. It's cool and cloudy, but since it's Spring, we expect the unexpected!

Barry is working all day and I thought I'd have it all to myself. At 9:15 I was ready to step into a much needed shower when the phone rang. Barry's bag had broken and the back-up he tried to put on was leaking too! I got my shower, and then hit the road to the new place he's working. It's not too bad on the weekends. It only took about 25 minutes to get there. We changed the bag again and now I'm finally home! I think I need a nap before I can get creative!

Tomorrow I go for the PAP test at the doctors, and she talks to me about the rest of the blood work they did. Maybe she'll look at my toe that I think I broke or at least killed part way this morning. I walked into the nice white wicker chest I have near the foot of the bed. My poor little toe is in pain! I see bed rest coming!

Thank you Andrea for the fun design--I hope you don't mind but I had to try and recreate your wonderful card! For my card I used some nice digi images from Deedee's Digis, along with some pink flower digi paper. My "happy" little bingo card is also a digi! Today I'm digi happy!
Barry is off to work this morning at the new part time job. They asked him to work the weekend there from 9-3, and then he's off to the older part time job to work 4-8! He's doing it tomorrow as well. The money will be nice, but we still have things to do in the new apartment! If only some nice little green man would come and put my shelves up and hook up the washer and dryer, I'd be one happy camper! Dreamin' again!
Not much on tap for me today. I will hopefully work on some cards to add to my Etsy store. I'm running low! That was meant as a joke---there's still lots in there. I did make a card yesterday using Baseball Riley and some neat baseball digi paper I got online for free! Gotta love those freebies! I just need to take a picture of the card---easier said then done. The lighting is very poor in the apartment for that, and that means I have to go outside and take pictures. That also means finding a way around the buffet I used in the office for my stuff. Believe that's no easy task. The top is covered and it's sitting in front of the sliding glass door to get out back! We need to work on a few things in the apartment!

I Admit It, I'm A Caser!

When my mind is dead and I have no idea's what-so-ever, I turn to the web, and check out the layouts I like---today's card is one of those! I saw it in a A-2 size, but since I don't know where the envelopes are at the moment, and I found some of the square size, off I went to work! It really did feel good to make a card! This one is made using a very old SU set, but one that I still won't part with, and some fun ruffled ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby. I know, and it was on sale too! I stopped to check out the Cuttlebug plates. They were expecting some "C" plates, and since mine is taped together with duck tape, in some far away box in the middle of my living room, I needed another one. Notice I said needed! I got the last one left! I didn't care if I had a coupon or not---it's now safe and sound in my office. Where the other plates are is still a mystery, but I'm one happy camper!
Barry is working at his new second part-time job this week. The lady who hired him at Hearthstone is now working at a different assisted living place. Our friend Brain is living there as well. Anyway, Esther called in the middle of the move and asked if he was interested in a "back-up" spot since she was going to be off Wednesday and Thursday this week. Of course he said yes, so that's where he is now. They added Friday for him as well, and when I spoke with him a while ago, they asked him to work Saturday and Sunday! He's ok with Saturday, but not sure about Sunday because he still is working at the other place. He really likes the new place much better. Everything is run so much better and he doesn't have to run around like a chicken down there. He also gets his meals for free!
So that's my life today. Hope you're having a good one too! My niece and her hubby won 2900 in the Maryland Lotto this week, so maybe good luck is turning our families way!

TODAY IT'S ME OR THEM!

Yesterday I applied at Wally World and today I've just finished my application for Joann's. So now it's them or me. I hope it's me somewhere. I would love to work at J's because of what they sell, but I can get insurance at Walmart, so I guess that would be my first choice. We'll just have to wait and see if anyone wants a warm and cuddly 61 year old Grandma! The thoughts of standing on my feet again, hurt already, but I really don't know what else to do to find steady work. I'd like temp work again, but I need to know I have some type of income on a regular basis. Pity my poor feet.
Today is grey outside. Rain is on the way for tomorrow. I'm going to Evan's tonight for dinner and see if he can help me get our budget in some sort of shape. Barry has to go to the new place he's going to "fill in" at and learn all about their system. It's another Assisted Living, but it's only for back-up. He'll work 2 days this week there, but we don't know when the next time will be. It's a shame, but better then nothing!

So, How Am I Going To Sell These Cards?

They are so pretty and there they sit in my Etsy store! I listed some one ebay, which I hated to do, thinking maybe they would sell over there----NO! Any suggestions as to how to move these little buggers would be wonderful! I have a nice 3 dozen cards waiting to fly out the door. I can't make new ones because I have NO idea where the stamping stuff is in the boxes that are all over the "office", so I just have to be content to dream about new cards for right now!

Barry is working a few extra hours today and I'll finally have so time to myself without him looking over my shoulder. YEA! I think I'll try and find places for a few of the things on my side of the office. Maybe even get a spot on the desk!

TGIF!

So it's Friday, and what does that really mean when you're not working?????????? Not a heck of a lot! But it does feel good to think the week might be over anyway! We still have so many boxes to get to. Most of them are the craft stuff, I admit, but without my shelves, it's hard to come up with places to put the things without unpacking! I can see my desk, but just not the top. It's covered in "stuff"! Soon, I hope. To top off the week, Barry now has my cold and of course he's dying! What else would be new when a man gets a cold! They should have "special" medicine to help them get "over" the horrible thing called a cold without all the drama that goes with a man getting sick! Please, someone invent that!
We had Madelyn yesterday for Spring break. We went and feed the Canadian Geese bread and shopped at Cosco. She seemed tired so we just hung around the house most of the day.
I'm off to do something I think. I have to get the wash done. The washer and dryer aren't hooked up yet, but they have a laundry room in the development and it's just as easy to use for now, so I'm off to get B's work clothes done for the weekend.

We're Back UP

At least we are in the apartment and the cable man came today! We now have TV and the Internet! Thank the Lord for that! I still have lots of boxes to unpack, but with all the craft room stuff I need to wait until Barry gets the shelves up so I have a place to put everything!

I've been ill the last couple of days. It's not right that a 61 year young person should be spotting! This I know for a fact! That's what started up on Friday and yesterday I was able to get into the doctors. They took tests and don't seem to find anything wrong yet, but next week I'll go back for a pap and we'll see what's up! Or down, as the case may be! It's not like a period or anything, just bits and pieces! It's a bitch to get old!

OMG!!!!!!

I didn't remember how hard moving could be before 2 days ago! We are out of the house and into the apartment, but there are a TON of boxes still to be unpacked. It's a nice size 2 bedroom. We've taken the master bedroom and used it as an office for both of us. The second room is now our master. It's smaller then our last one, but that's how it is in life! I had to get rid of a huge amount of craft items. Larry took lots home for Tina and Madelyn, so at least that was a help. Thank you all for being concerned for us. I think I'm one of those people who just keeps bouncing back to life. At least I hope so!

Monkey See, Monkey Do!

I hope everyone is having a fine pre-Spring weekend. It's been warm and now its cool here in Dallas. I like the cooler weather better. I hate to sweat! Today's card is made using an image I received last year from a friend and so is the verse. It's fun to dig out things long forgotten about and use them. New all over again!
