Great New News!

I've been sitting on some fun news the last few days and now I'm letting the cat out of the bag! My friend Deedee Anderson is starting up her design team again to showcase her new designs and I'm going to be part of this wonderful team! She's going to be adding new things to her group of goodies! They include digi papers along with the images. She's going to have both black and white and pre-coloured! Stay turned for more info when her group starts up again!

The card is my latest and I must have been thinking of Deedee when I made it, because the verse is part of an older set of digi's that I used! Perfect for the image.

Yesterday was travel day with our Granddaughter. We went on a road trip to Waco. First stop was Collin Street Bakery for several dozen cookies. Next to see the scrapbook store. Then we moved on to Dr Pepper, and finally the zoo. To say we were "beat" is an understatement! But it was a fun day anyway. Madelyn has already arrived at our home this morning and we have a nice lazy day planned!

Is It Fall Yet?

I just love the fall with all it's wonderful warm colors, not to mention Halloween! It's the best time of year to create cards! Almost anything goes and this year it's true again for me! Digital, stickers, and lots of fun ribbon makes a great card!

Madelyn and I are going to babysit Sydney today while her Mommy gets some much needed sleep. Grandpa did say he'd go over last night and do the night feeding, but they said they'd save that favor for another day!

I really do want to create, but my mind is just not coming up with anything new today. Maybe later I'll have a creative thought, but who knows! Tomorrow we're trying to take a day trip to Waco and I've printed out the directions for a scrapbook store to check out while we're there.

It's Been A Busy Season!

As you can see, we've been busy in the Bloom Family! This is Ms Sydney Mabel Bloom! Born July 15, she is the sweetest little girl! Looks just like her Daddy did when he was little! Notice the red hair? Her great-grandma would have been so happy to see that! I still can't believe my own baby boy is a father! Where have the years gone!

Barry and are doing well this summer. We have been babysitting Madelyn lots and enjoying it all. OK, so maybe Grandpa didn't enjoying watching her last week when I had to work, but it will be better this week when I'm home until Friday!

We are going to Disney in September for our 43 anniversary! I can't believe its coming so soon!

If Wishes Come True!

See what wonderful digi's can become? It's the perfect card to see on a Monday, for that matter, any day! Digi papers, digi saying, and a nice punch is all this took! I spent a nice easy day on Sunday doing the things I love. They included spending time with Barry and making cards! Please don't ask which is more important---I don't want to chose! He usually works on Sunday, but traded this week with the lady who works on Saturday so we got the wash done, eat a nice breakfast and work back to back in the studio! He was on the computer and me at my desk!

We bought our air tickets this week on AA for Disney. Another step in the planning. We have been so many times to the parks, but this time we're trying to act like first time visitors and see Disney in a different way. It should be fun!

I'm working this whole week so I can have both Saturday and Sunday off next weekend. I'm hoping I make it. It's a long time to stand on my feet these days. I really enjoy the job, but I get so tired by the end of the week, all I want to do is sleep!

Well I'm off to shower and another cup of coffee. Have fun today!

It's Almost Friday!

I know, I know, it's only Thursday, but Friday is coming---so I've been told! I have off today and I just got up at 11! I guess I really needed the sleep! Barry is still sleeping. It's been a long week so far for both of us. Work has been busy and sleep has been short, but I think I'm all caught up now!

These are some new cards I made this week. I love how they both turned out! The owl card is made using a clip art image and of course, some digi papers. I found that cute paperclip star hanging around on my desk and added some ribbon. The second card is using a Birdie Brown digi! Notice the new paper? The birthday paper was from a new My Mind's Eye pad I found at M's. They finally got something new in!

I guess that's about it from the Zoo. All is well with the kids and we're looking forward to our new Bloomer in July!

Happy April!

Or as we like to say at the Bloom Zoo, 3 months until Baby Bloom comes to visit! I can't believe the time is moving along so fast. It seems like yesterday we were planning the wedding, and now we're getting ready for the new baby! She'll be here before we know it!

It's been a busy month for me. With working and trying to keep new and prettier cards in my store, I don't seem to have a lot of time to write on my blog or even Facebook anymore. It could be that I'm hooked on Pinterest a little too much, but hey, what's a "little" too much! Looking at that site is like having a million new magazine's in your home everyday! I love it!

We are going to Disney! I booked our trip yesterday. I can't wait. A week in the World in September is just what I need. I would say I "need" a trip to Maui, but since it's a killer price, the trip to Florida will have to do! We're going to meet up with old friends there too. A gal I went to HS with and her hubby! It's been at least 40 years since I saw Karen, but as I told her yesterday, my mirror says I look the same, and I'm sure hers does too!

I do not know where the month has gone, but I do know I've been busy with work and creating new cards for my store. I've shown you a few of those creations today. I just finished an order of 5 cards with an Easter bunny train on it. I now know why I don't do special orders anymore! I hate making the same card more then one time!

We now have a name for baby Bloom. She'll be called Sydney. It's after Barry's dad. We are thrilled with the name. The week when Mandy has the baby, we're going to take Coco home with us. What a hardship to have my favorite furry grand baby with us!

I'm still working and so is Barry. We have been planning a few trips. In May we are heading to Branson, MO to spend a few days, and now we're planning a trip to Disney in September. Life is getting better for us again. We still our money, but we're able to enjoy life a little better these days.

I'm off again today, but I work the next 4 days to get my 20 hours in. I'd rather have a break in the days I work, but that's how this week is, so I take it slow each day!
