Happy Birthday Evan!

It's my youngest son Evan's birthday! He's finally older then his Mom! I wanted to make him a Bulldog card, but I'd used the only image I have before, so I found this picture online and made the card and matching envelope for him! The saying is just printed out on the compter! All the paper is digi!

Let's Do A Dance!

I think the computer is finally working, so I'm ready to dance in the sun! So is Riley! Isn't he fun! While the computer was in hiding I had to pull out stuff that was already stamped or printed and Riley was one of those images I found along with the cute little verse. The green papers are from SU a collection from a few years ago. Still works just fine!

Barry is off today acting as a judge at the DI contest in our area. Destination Imagination that is.

Our granddaughter Madelyn is invloved and Larry is this the leader of her group, so of course Grandpa helps out! It's a fun day for all of them!

Yesterday I took some friends out that don't drive anymore for a morning of just doing "stuff"! Denise and Marsha live at the Assisted Living that Barry works at. These ladies are near my age and the sweetest women ever. Our first stop was Hobby Lobby. Both hadn't been in a while, so off we went. Next stop was a store called Super K. It's a Koren supermarket. It's a WOW! They have the freshest fruits and veggies. I love how they display them. All of the items are cleaned of any bad things and then washed! And that doesn't include how reasonably the prices are! Strawberry for 1.99 and oranges 4@1.00. It all tasted so good last night. Our last stop of the day was lunch at Crackle Barrel. They told Barry later in the day what a great time they had. So did I!

Now I'm going to try and make a few new cards to add to my Etsy store. I have all day---to myself!

Finally Fixed, We Think!

STill NOT Working!

Just a short note from my local libray....our computer is have it's bug and it not working! Evan has promised to come and look sometime this week! There's still lots of new cards to look at but you have to go too my Etsy store for that!

Still Got Bugs

I was able to get some cards scanned and uploaded to my Etsy store today at Larry and Tina's house. It's not as good as "real" pics, but it's better then nothing. Please check out all the new cards and if you have a mind to, BUY!
Our computer is still broken and I have no idea when we'll have it fixed. I don't know when I'll be able to get back, but hopefully soon.

BUGS, BUGS, BUGS EVERYWHERE

I am sorry I haven't been on the computer is a few days, but we have a nasty bug that hit us hard and we can't do anything with our own computer right now. I'm at the library using theirs. Best Buy wants 199 to fix it, and so we now have to wait until we get paid again in a week because like all things in life, it's a choice---eat or get the computer fixed. While I would love to say get the computer fixed because I am lost without it and can't sell a darn things, eating has to come first with what money we have! I'm going to see about going to the kids later and scanning some cards I made and try and get them uploaded to my store. If there's anything in the store you really want, now would be a perfect time to BUY!
I'm try and post something more when I know. Thanks for all the emails checking on me!

TODAY'S TO DO LIST!

Riley is plenty busy getting all those things on his honey's "to do" list today! Isn't he sweet! Believe it or not, this paper is not a digi! I know it's hard to believe, but I bought one sheet of paper a while ago and used it up today! Like the stamped panel? I used some really old Close To My Heart wood stamps that I've had around for years. I love the way the card turned out! He's not ready for a new home in my Etsy store!

Barry is off to work today. It's his 2-8 shift. Thank goodness! I need to go and buy ink. I'm out of yellow, again! That's the draw back of digi papers, but the choices out there are amazing! I have found sites that have HUGE amounts of paper packs. If I only had the all the money in the world, I'd never buy a sheet of "real" paper again! One can dream, I suppose!

COMEON, TELL ME IF MY CARDS ARE UGLY OR WHAT!

They must have made that turn into the ugly forest again, cause they are just sittin in my Etsy store and lookin lost! I have 4, yes 4 dozen cards waiting for new homes, and they seem to be unwanted! This was one of those cards I was going to make "in mass" for the make and take that didn't happen, but I'm happy with the way it turned out anyway. I love digi papers. I love digi images. I just love to get them all together and create something beautiful!

Barry is going to work this afternoon from 4 to 8 and I will have some play time. Other then that our weekend is same ole, same ole! I really need to do some cleaning this weekend, but that's not going to happen. I'd rather watch DVR's and play in paper. What a day!

Have a fun day and stay warm. It's going to be in the 60's for us. What a difference a week makes!

Oh Happy Day!

I don't know why today is a happy day, or just another day, but this card sure does the trick of cheering you up with it's nice bright colors! She's is the sweetest little girl? It's an image from Lori Boyd's collection of children. Her little top was paper pieced to match the front of the card. This card measures 6 1/4 x 3 1/4. It's a fun size to work with!

So far, it's a nice day and I'm not going to mess it up, so I'm off to play!

ME and Blogger Issues! SNOWDAYS IS THE CODE

Boy oh boy, I never thought I'd be able to get back on blogger, but finally I'm back! I'm having a BIG SALE over in my Etsy store right now and just wanted to share it with you, but yesterday was a total waste of a day! It started with NOT being able to let everyone know I had a sale, and then things just got better and better and not in a good way! I was suppose to do a Make'nTake last night at my friends meeting. It was to make Valentine cards. There were 15 members coming! Yes, you guessed it, it was snowed out! 100 bucks not made! 75 for the card kits, and I was bringing lots of finished cards to sell! There was great interest in them. I don't even know why I thought anything would be different for me. It's that old black cloud thing that always finds me, again! Oh yea, they are going to have me come again, but not until next Fall! Some days I just want to go out and play in the street!

A Few You Might Have Missed!

It's become my habit on Sunday's to just show off a few of the cards I've created during the week and that are gracing the walls of my Etsy store now. I love to create. It's like water to my soul. It lets me get to a different part of me,so today I'm sharing.

Each card is made using some digi papers. The first card Riley is taking care of his garden.

The second card is made using a Whimsie Doodles image from last year. I even printed her dress out. Got to love the digi!

The third card is made using Senior' Frog from Stampin Up. He's always my "go to" guy! I stamped him on some plaid digi and then found a tiny piece of scrap on my desk and stamped the mushroom out on it. This is the only card that has "real" paper on it. The dot is from a store bought piece!

Check Out Her Overalls!

I think by now you know just how much pleasure I get from working with these darling little girl images and digi paper---well I've done both on this card I made. The image is from Heather Ellis, who is the designer for My Favorite Things Pure Innocence line of stamps. I wanted to make her jeans stand out a bit, and think I've come up with a winner!

The first thing I did was print out one two of the images on card stock. Then I printed out the paper in a square about 3x3 over top of one of the images. This way I got the plaid to print out much smaller and right over top of where I wanted it. I cut out the overalls and pieced it to the other image! All the other scraps of paper came from the pile I loving call my desk!

We got some real snow in Dallas on Friday. What fun! Barry got cabin fever in the afternoon, so after lunch we went out to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream. They weren't open, even though the sign said OPEN! Of well, it was nice to get out for a bit. Left over beef stew and a Mav's win, made a perfect day!

I still have to figure out what I'm going to make for my meeting on Thursday. I now have 12 people signed up. I need a Valentine idea! Oh well, I know something will come to mind!

First Peek of Spring!

I know it's cold and winter in all around us, but I yearn for a warm sunny Spring day and with these images and fresh papers, I feel like I've found a bit of Spring! Today I'm using one of the newest sets of digi images that Deedee has added to her store called First Peek of Spring. I love the bunny peeking out of the basket of flowers. It's so fun and the set comes with several wonderful little verses, but I chose the one with my last name!

I want to take a minute of your time to say my farewell to being a part of this wonderful group of designers here at Deedee's. It's been my honor and great blessing to be a part of this team from the beginning. There comes a time when everyone needs a break and it's my time for that. I will continue to follow and enjoy these charming creations that Deedee makes. Thank you all for all the love you've shown!

What A Cold Day!

Wow! Whoever thought we'd get woken up to our power going off and all half the day! In Texas today we had something called "rolling" power outages! They were suppose to last 15 minutes, and be limited---right! They started shortly after 6 and ended by noon, but we had our power go off at least 10 times and they would go off anywhere between 8 and 20 minutes! It wouldn't have been so bad, but for some reason our smoke detectors keep going off every time! Finally when it got light enough Barry got up to the 10 foot ceilings and pulled out the batteries! Fun day!
