The Blues!

Do you ever wonder why things just keep happening to people? I wonder everyday how to get away from the "blues"! They just keep on coming no matter what in my life!!!! Last night after a perfectly lovely day with my girlfriend and Madelyn, Barry came home and told me he is going to have to get a new battery for the car! Of course this is a week before he gets paid, and we are down to about $50 to our name! I tell you, even the pills I'm taking so I don't fall into that black hole, don't work enough! So now it's a race to see if I can sell anything in my Etsy store, and when the battery finally dies.

Barry is working today, and that is good news. I have a card to make for a special order and then I need to clean up anything that's low enough for Coco to play with. She's coming to visit tomorrow night. She's so cute and we love her, but she wants to play with anything in her site! Good puppy! This time I told Evan not to bother bringing her crate, she likes to sleep in our bed and I know Grandpa enjoys her nice little (all 45 lbs of it) near him! Evan is going to San Diego on Thursday to receive the employee of the year award from his company at their convention. We are so proud of him. He'll be back on Saturday. Friday night we'll have both the grands. Madelyn is coming to visit as well. We told her she can walk Coco!

Well, I'm off to try and figure out how to get a new battery if it dies between now and next Wednesday!

P

And The Winners Are---Everyone!

Thank you one and all for your comments and sharing your weekend plans! Since I only had 4 comments, I've decided to send them all a bundle of 5 yds of whatever color they want! So please email with your address and let me know your choice and snail mail address! Send it to prbloom@aol.com

They are Sheri, Cathy, Ashley, and Shelly! Thank you ladies!

So far I've had a very nice weekend. Friday we went to the pool and enjoyed the nice water! Saturday we were lazy and then Barry went to work in the evening. Yesterday Larry, Tina, and Madelyn came over to swim, and then B went to work at night. Today he's working all day and then going for drinks after work with an old friend he used to work with. I'm having lunch with a girlfriend, then picking up Madelyn to swim. This evening I'm headed to Larry's house for a cook out. It's going to be a good way to end the weekend!

Enjoy the day and hurry back!

Something New and Blog Candy!

As promised, something new to temp you with today! That's right, something that we all need to have and want to run our fingers around! Yes, shabby wrinkled ribbon! These are the colors I've added to my Etsy store today. Aren't they wonderful? They are and if you leave a comment this weekend and share with us what you and your family are up to for the holiday weekend, you can have a chance to chose what color you want to have as your very own! Sorry, only one winner and one bundle! I'll leave this up until Sunday night, so take a chance and play along!

Have a wonderful weekend! Remember a Vet and say thanks for a job well done!

Soccer Is A Kick, I Think!

Today's card is Riley The Soccer Player in honor of Mandy's birthday on the 29th! Mandy is Evan's GF and they seem so happy together, I wanted to make a special card for her. She plays soccer as well as other sports, but soccer is near and dear to her. I tried to give the moose a "girlie" look with a small bow. I hope that works! It's the thought that counts, right? I found all these fun digi scraps of paper on my desk (trash can is on the other side of the room) and they work perfectly for this card!

Barry is working all day at the newer of the part time jobs and then going to a meeting tonight! What a great day for me to do something! I am, hopefully going to get some MOJO back so I can create somethings. My store needs new blood in it. I think it looks tired. I'm going to be adding some Shabby Wrinkled Ribbon soon. Just waiting for the ribbon to come so I can go to work making the magic happen. I'll let everyone know when it's ready to go with a prize on my blog! Can't wait!

Gotta go now and put the wash in the dryer. See I'm ahead of the game so far today!

Hurry back!

Happy Monday!

She's such a cutie! She reminds me of my Madelyn who loves to craft! As you can plainly see, I'm working my way back to creation station! When I go to bed at night I have a million idea's jumping up and down in my head, but when it comes to making the creation come to life, that's the hard part! Barry is gone this morning at the new part time gig, so maybe I can get some work down. Sometimes I think the problem is that I have too many toys to chose from. KWIM? Oh, such problems!

I'm off to dusk the living room. I got the bedroom yesterday and did the dishes, so now it's time to finish up and have another cup of coffee!

Have a wonderful day and stay dry!

Sunday, Sunday

Good Sunday morning! The sun is trying to come out and play today. I'm hoping it will. The pool is right up the hill from our apartment and my milky white legs are calling for the sun God to come out! If not, well, I guess I'll work on cards!!

The newest one is made using another of my images from Sassy Cheryl's. No, I don't work for them, I just like the images. The paper is digi as well.

Off to read the paper now and have my coffee. Enjoy the day.

I'm Finally Back, I Think!

I know it's been so time since I really posted anything, so today is the day! I took a break from the blog, computer and making cards. Sometimes it's a much needed break and so it was! We our grand puppy Coco last weekend and that took some time. She only ate one roll of ribbon. What a good girl! Walking her was a job. She's a 45lb. puppy so gets very excited when she sees other people and dogs. My knee gave out a few times and I'm been nursing it all week and keeping ice on it. Barry is picking some hours at the newer part time job. Since it was just a back up position, he never really had any set hours, and that meant no set money. Now he'll be driving the little bus that takes the people to the store, doctors, and just for rides. And more importantly, he'll be out of my hair a few more hours a week!

Enough of me, check out my card. She's a fun image from Sassy Cheryl's digi stamps. I love her little girls. They are so fun! I water colored the image and then used some chalk to accent the

dress and hat. The paper is some digi goodness. The "hello" stamp is Hero Arts.

Have a good weekend and hurry back!

Hugs,

P
