Three Little Words!

Sometimes those 3 words are all you need to make it through the day. Sometimes you just need to hear somebody say them to you, and sometimes just having a friend say them makes it OK! I'm blessed to have not only good friends who say them, but family too. Some days have been almost more then I could stand and know that people care has made it easier to get through those days. This cute image and verse was sent to me from a good friend named Shelly. I was trying to make a card with a little different look then my usual. I know it still has buttons and bows, but it's just a bit different then my usual "Paula" style.
Today I'm just wondering if I'm going to do anything at all. It's raining in Dallas today, and that always makes me want to just curl up in bed and do nothing. I always feel bad if I don't make cards to sell in my ebay store, but since I only sold 1 card this weekend, I don't think I have to rush to add more! I think the dozen and a half can get along without any more company! What I think I need to do is see what other SU sets of stamps I can part with and add them. By the time Barry and I are able to have anything again, they'll be a whole new catalog to buy from! That as Martha says, is a good thing!

A Mixed Bouquet Day!

Do you remember this SU set of flower stamps? It's been on my shelf forever it seems and I keep picking it up and thinking I'm going to sell it, but then something says not to. I don't know why I've hung on to it, but then yesterday I was so tired of making cards with the same old stamps again and again, I pulled it out. It's really been out for a while. It's been the thing I sat the cards on before I've taken their pictures for the last month or so. A nice stand! After I stamped the flowers which are outlines, I used a water brush and just filled in the centers with the same colors of ink I used. The verse is from Verve. They have such nice one's!
Today Barry is out all day being a judge at a "thing" for Madelyn. She's in Destination Imagination. He wondered why he was doing it but then recalled because our son Larry asked him to! Being a good Dad, even to a 38 year old son is still his thing, so off he went. What a blessing for me. Not to have to worry about him all day. No lunch to make, no snacks to see after! So what am I going to do today? That wasn't really a question. More like a passing thought! Since I have no money to do a fun shopping day, I think I'll just chill out and do some crafting. Like that's something new for me! It seems like that's all I do. Stay home and make cards. Every day! Maybe something different today. Check back tomorrow and see what I've gotten done!
Have a great day!

My card was made for St Patty's Day, but I think it would be a great card to give those "hard" to please guys in our lives for any number of things. Even just to say HI! The card was made using Basic Grey and some glitter for the beer!
It's finally Friday. It's been a busy week for me. I haven't gotten a lot done for myself, but I am happy that the week in winding down. There is nothing new in the job market, Barry is still in school, and I'm still trying to make ends meet! Nothing in life is easy, I know, but I would just like to have a whole week where nothing bad happens! A lovely customer and now a great friend of mine wrote to tell me that she "saw" something good was going to happen to us soon. I'm going with her feelings on this. I know our lives will turn around soon. I just have to have faith and a lot of hope. I sometimes lose sight of this, but I just have to have faith. We all do!
Bless you all for coming to visit and letting me share my gifts with you!
Hugs,

Still No Answers

To they whys of yesterday, but I am so grateful for the friends and family I have. No matter what happens, I know that they are there. Was yesterday a dark day for me. It's not really a question, just a statement of how my life has been lately. But with all that said, I know that people really care about us and love us! Are things any better today? No, nothing has really changed. Bills need to still be paid, school still needs to be finished, and I still have work to do. Wish as I might, no one comes in during the night and does the dirty clothes. Not one soul said they're be happy to rush over and do the dirty dishes, and to top that off, no one said they're come and pick up all the little white pop dot pieces of paper that I keep finding all over my carpet! They stick to everything! See, I can laugh at something. It's that or cry some more. Today seems to be one of those type of days. It's hard to take from other people, but I am so blessed to have help. Thank you one and all. As my mother used to say, you'd earned your star in heaven"!

Why?

Today is just one of those days when I need to ask myself WHY? Why does every other day seem like it's a struggle between me and losing it all? Why is that? I have no answer. I try and try to make a go of it. To get over the curve, and still, I fall behind. Last week it was the cell bill. This week it's the water bill that I'm falling short over. I have tried for a week to get the money together for this, and still I'm not doing a good enough job! I'm still trying to sell enough to get the last $35 together! I am so tired of being tired. Does that make sense at all? And to top it off today we have a primary election in Texas that will change nothing! We have a Governor in our state who goes around saying Texas is a state that should be held up as an example of what's working in America! The joke of this is that for many Texans it's not working. I have no health care. I can't find a job, and I feel like I'm lost in the system of losers. Almost 20% of people in our country are either unemployed or underemployed or like many, just dropped out of anything, and yet, nothing is being done! I voted for a change last year. I think the country is as tired as I am and needs change. Please Hurry UP!

It's A Two Jelly Belly Kind Of Day!

Can you believe it's March already? Where is the year going? Why am I so far behind? Do you ask yourself these questions too? Ok, sorry it was another question! It's raining in Dallas today. In fact, as Barry told me, it rained all night. I was sleeping like a log, as usual, but Barry heard it and if you have a hubby, you know where this is leading---it's an all about ME (Barry) moment! He overslept---A. The rain, B. He didn't feel "good", again, or C. Just Because? Those are the questions, or should I say the answers! Enough of Barry, it's my blog. Do you like the card? It's a fun Whimsie Doodles image. I have to say it again, if you haven't tried them, do so now. There's a freebie you can even try them with. You will see how great it can be to resize them, or even flip them if you want. It's beyond me right now to do everything with them, but if I can at 60 learn a new trick, anyone can!
So, what are you up to today? I'm guessing the usual Monday stuff. Wash, clean, play in the craft room? And it doesn't have to be in that order! I'm trying to do all of that, but I have to admit, the TV is calling me this morning. I got the trash out, the dishwasher up, and even made a St Patrick's Day card, but now I think I'm in need of a nap. After all, Barry didn't sleep well and I should have some benefit from that!!
Have a safe and happy day,
Hugs,
